These hockey skates are great! They are sturdy and very supportive of the ankles. It has both laces and straps for extra support. The straps latch securely and won’t accidentally loosen up or come undone while playing, but have buttons to release easily when finished. My 7 year old has no problems doing it himself. They are also adjustable which is awesome, and makes the price great deal. The size I bought adjusts from kid size 13 to size 2. My kid currently wears size 13 and at the smallest setting, these fit snugly without being too tight, so these should last us a very long time. Long story short, I am very impressed with how sturdy and supportive they are, and the fact that they’re also adjustable makes the price of these a great deal, since I won’t have to buy new ones for a long time. 5 stars

I am thrilled with our recent purchase of adjustable ice skates for my son. As he ventured into the world of hockey, it became clear that renting skates wasn't ideal. These adjustable skates provide fantastic support for his feet, with both laces and a velcro strap for added stability. The extra tightening strap around his ankles ensures a snug fit, and he absolutely loves them. We're so satisfied with this purchase that we'll be on the lookout for a pair for his sister too. These skates have made his hockey journey even more enjoyable.

These are neat skates that have the really cool feature of being adjustable in size, making them great for growing kids. I honestly don't know much about skates, so I can't speak much to their performance, but they seem to work well. The only issue I have is that, as you extend the boot to fit a bigger foot, it begins to look a little goofy, and the center of balance moves forward on the skate. I don't think it will have a major impact, but it might make balancing a bit trickier as the child gets bigger.
