Overall I'm really pleased with the quality of the skates. The boot portion seems well made and the plastic skate portion is solid as well. The only part I think lacks just a little bit in terms of quality looking material, is the vel-cro strap. It just reminded me of really cheap shoes. The rest of the skate is very nice, though. I really like how easy it is to adjust sizes. Hopefully these can last long enough to get through all the sizes these skate cover. My 4 year old grandson said these were very comfortable and his mom likes that they are adjustable. He was falling a lot more than expected, so she doesn't think the skates come sharp enough right out of the box....could be, so remember to allow for a few days to get them sharpened if you are buying them as a gift. Overall great fit and value. Will see how they perform after sharpening and he gets more used to them. ... show more

These were a welcome addition to the pairs we currently use. The photos were taken prior to sharpening. The skates are well made and they are adjustable which is nice, but for me unnecessary. The biggest plus to these pairs are the built in liners. They are soft, plush almost, but don't generate much heat in your foot. With the 45 degree strap and the top buckle, and shoelaces, this thing will get a nice, snug fit on your foot. They feel great on the ice and they give you a lot of control over your momentum. Sharpening is a must and luckily there was no issues of bent or misaligned blades with this set. For recreational purposes these are amazing! A huge leap in comfort over rink rentals for sure, and they look great. The only con on this pair are the blade protectors themselves. They're just garbage. Plan to get third party ones as they are a must have. Overall, what a great pair of ice skates at a really good price point. Recommended for kids & adults! ... show more
