From what I can tell these seem to be decent "cheap" skates for kids. The best feature is the adjustable size so it can grow with the kid. Due to the adjustable sizing, there is a part of the insole that sits right in the middle of the foot/arch. I suppose that's unavoidable since it needs to slide, and it doesn't seem to bother my kid. Not sure how well the blade will hold up to use, but the rest of the boot seems decently put together. Happy so far.

My 10 year old has been ice skating for several years now, and was skating fine in these brand new today, even though I didn't get the blades sharpened yet. I got the Large (4Y-7Y) size, which on these skates is marked A B C D. He's currently wearing Youth size 5 sneakers, but was comfortable in the lowest setting, A, so these skates should grow with him for a few seasons. We have had other brands' adjustable skates which were difficult to pull to make longer, but these were so friction-less, I'd shoot straight from A to D and back, and had to force myself to be gentle enough to stop at B or C. Note that the style of these blades extends past both ends of the shoe, especially in the front. The other adjustable brands we've owned, had shorter blades, basically the same length as the shoe (see photo where black is other brand, blue is this brand). So the Large skates blade size is 13 inches, which is good to know when shopping for blade covers so you don't buy them too short.

I'm just at the top end of kid's size. Also not a good skater. I like to go a few times a week to the community skating rink in our town. A young friend recommended NOT getting figure skates, as the pick on the front could lead to an unseemly face plant. These skates do the job. Fairly easy to get on and off and supportive. But of course, not really comfortable.

I usually rent ice skates and always ask for a size 7 (the rentals come in a men's/youth size). I ordered the large that is supposed to adjust up to a size 7 YOUTH. I somehow doubted these adjustable skates would really fit me, but they did! I did need help adjusting. I held down the button, while my son pulled the front of the skate out, but that's probably just me, I don't have a lot of strength in my hands. So much more plush and warm on the inside than the rental skates, I'm happy with them so far. I usually use figure skates, so I was worried I wouldn't be able to use these, but I transitioned just fine to hockey skates. I'm just using them to skate around in circles on the ice, nothing fancy. Will update if there are any issues in the future, but I'm very happy with them for now!

These skates look okay out of the box, but I think I received a defective pair as the buckle keeps going off of the hinge side when I am trying to tighten the slide side. This ends up not fitting tightly as it should, hence unsafe for my little one to wear on ice.

Well made skates. The inner lining is very soft, thick, and warm. We ordered blue but got black. The black are really nice looking though so I think we will keep them. The box was labeled as blue so I think it was a simple mix up. The skates have one simple push button to adjust them and slide easily. They come with small thin skate guards on them. They seem like good enough guards to store the skates but they seem like they would fall off if you walked on them. We will probably get new ones.

Skates seem sturdy and work well. Great price for someone just learning to skate who may or may not be interested. Especially when they will grow out of them quickly. All around a great product well worth the cost.

Look Great...nicer than the pictures. I cannot attest YET to the fit and comfort, since these would've fit me 40 years ago, and I must await about a month for the change of weather to have ice to skate on for our family. If they fit comfortably, as expected, these will have my 5th star...but they certainly look both comfy and built to hold up to a near-teen's abuses. :P Vendor included an extra set screw in a baggie...maybe to carry in your pocket, just because? I might carry it until we ice skate for the first time, to remind me to update this thereafter. Or put it outside to see if it avoids rust? I cannot imagine a reason for displeasure on these, for a novice skater. Have you noticed the bodies of these "Adjustable skates" are all basically the same, other than being an ice blade, and inline skate, or quads? Me too, but "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" may very well be true to form here. So, I'd suppose it's best to grab the best priced, branded, colored, and flashy ones for your tastes. Enjoy! :) ...
