Customer service was amazing. The front part of the drawer came separated when the desk first arrived. I contacted the customer service department to ask if I could get just the drawer part because I didn’t really want to disassemble, re-pack, and arrange the return since the only part that had an issue was the drawer. Their response was fast, and they were kind enough to send an entirely new desk and allowed me to keep the original desk. The second desk came in perfect condition. I will be ordering some other furniture from Nathan James because not only do I like the quality of the product, but I was also happy with the customer service. The desk itself is perfect too. It is study, minimalistic, and the assembly took me just 5 minutes – you can literally attach the legs into the holes, and that’s it. Super cute and very easy build! The top comes assembled so you just screw in the legs. Love the color and style of this desk. The top came with a small blemish but it doesn’t bother us, something that can be easily covered with a candle or laptop. The desks arrived in excellent condition. The style is perfect; mid century modern and a great color that can pull anything on the room together. They were easy to assemble. I have three kids (5, 9, and 12) and one of my kids got what appeared to be green marker on the desk. I was able to get it out but had to do significant scrubbing. I was shocked that this desk didn't get scratched at all. My kids did manage to sing the front edge a bit with our old chairs that had handles. The handles were at the exact right height that it gouged the top edge of the desk. I used a minwax golden oak blend-fil pencil and it worked perfectly. It's very pretty. Definitely gives more of a grown up vibe for my growing tween. I was able to assemble everything myself. I have one big concern which are the screws does not fit tight. The first step was so bad... only 1 of the 5 screws fit. Although on the back of the booklet it does state that they will come and package everything. I ended up just gorilla glued the screws in. There's space and gaps... but no cracks for me. I don't have a drill and was able to put all together in 3hrs. ... show more

Such a pretty desk. It’s sturdy and well made. It was packed up so carefully and the instructions were easy to follow. Some other reviewers were disappointed with the color of the wood but I really like it. It’s light wood with a little honey color in it.

Things I love about this desk; the design, good size workspace and ability to fit in a small areas. The room I set the desk in, worked and matched my needs. The price for MFD wood and what I feel was, when I found this desk, in the description and from the reviews “maybe” was misleading. The only extra from what I described above was it had to be “real wood” not MFD. Looking back and reading the description and reviews and customer pictures; I believed it was real wood. The description back then I recall it saying solid wood, nothing about MFD wood or the likes. The price, pictures, description at the time (they could have updated the description, as it now states MFD wood). The desk arriving, felt, looked and convinced me it was “real.” wood. I passed on many other desks because my musty was real, solid wood; no to must have included “real wood.” I bought a stand to put on this desk recently to support my monitor and laptop. I had to drill a hole into the desktop; surprise surprise surprise, MFD wood. Disappointing, yes! Still looks good, yes. It made me come back to product description and re-read, because I def. would not have purchased, on the fact it’s MFD. 2.5 stars for price paid for MFD. OK 3 stars, for design/looking good.
