Be sure to make note of the dimensions before purchasing. Very nice hooks; I wish I could use them, but I bought them for a shield, and they are just way too small. The inner diameter of the hook opening isn't big enough for the edge of my shield. This product is really nice and sturdy. My girlfriend got a Link's Sword from Legend Of Zelda for my birthday and I bought this product because I didn't want a prop like that just laying around.     • Simple but nice
I'm going to use these for a besom broom. The picture frame hook isn't ok. You can't get a stong enough or close enough hold with small screw. So I'm shortening and predrilling countersunk holes to accommodate. Then I will cover with wooden button covers.

    • Cheap feeling, but works
Used it to hang a 12 lb replica of Gut's sword from Berserk on my wall. It felt really light weight so I got concerned that it wouldnt be able to hold it up there properly. The mounts are affixed by a nail post so it is much sturdier than I thought it would be.

Really easy to install. Affordable. The blade stands out. Feels sturdy which is nice because it's hanging over my bed in California with earthquakes being a persistent threat. I added a bit of oiled felt to the part the blade is resting on. Yes, that's the sword from F.A.K.K. 2 Heavy Metal. I'll be replacing all of my other wall mounts with these. ... show more

    • Continual headache leading to failure
This product was just wrong for what I was doing. If your going to put a sword on the wall and leave it there for years, its probably just fine. I was hanging an staff that I was working on as an art project. So I needed to put it up and take it down every day. It was hanging high on the wall which did not help. Because it is two small pieces hanging independently on a single picture hanger on the back, every time I tried to take the staff on or off these things would spin sideways and fall off the wall. Eventually one of them broke from hitting the floor. If the hangers were recessed so they would fit flat against the wall, and/or if they had two points of contact per piece, it might have worked a little better. I decided to order a different one that it one larger piece so it will be more stable. ... show more

I’d like to give this product a 5 star but it did arrive broken. But some epoxy, a very carefully drilled pilot hole and a small framing nail later and it was stronger than before. I always knew that the picture frame hangers would not be strong enough to hang my sword, so I always planned on drilling pilot holes rather than just trying to run a screw through them and splitting the wood. Like the previous reviewer did. I’m very satisfied with the results, it take a little extra work with the drill but then again they are very low priced to begin with. ... show more
