This is a beauty. Excellent all around quality. The setting is solid silver, The prongs are nice and thick (they are smooth and won't catch on fabric). It gives the round stone that slightly squared look I like. This is a silk fit ring. There aren't any sharp edges inside or outside of the ring, The ring is not hollowed out on the underside. This makes wearing it very comfortable. The metal is highly polished and beautifully finished with platinum plating. The rings runs true to size. The cut is excellent. The clarity it near perfect. The color is top grade. It has a short crown. so the profile is low. There are 2 tiny CZ's sent into the crown. They can't really be seen, but it's a nice added touch. I bought the 1 ct. I bought it for myself. I love beautiful jewelry period. I just like looking at it. I have so much jewelry, but wear very little of it. I just like to buy it and look at it. Crazy, I know. For anyone that doesn't wear diamond for whatever reason, this is a gorgeous alternative. This is set like a fine diamond. One thing though, if using as an engagement ring; even top quality CZ will lose some of it's beauty over time, if left on while washing dishes, bathing, cooking, etc..... If this will be used as an engagement ring, I recommend getting a spare. Lastly, they have this setting style in various shapes,,,,cushion, princess, etc.....just so you know. When I ordered mine I didn't realize they had other shapes available. UPDATE; I also bought the cushion cut. I like that better than the round. The shape is square.
