I did a 5 mile hike today with these snowshoes and they were great. Easy to put on and they stayed on, didn't loosen up. They are pretty light. I have never used any other modern snowshoe so I can't compare, but for me they were all I needed and they did what they were supposed to do. I am going to buy another pair for my wife. ... show more

    • Rivets are the weak link.

After a brief use, a rivet attaching the center ratchet strap fell out. To avoid ruining our snow vacation, I reattached it with a bolt and nut. Other than that mishap, they work well. I keep a few spare bolts in the bag just in case.

These snowshoes are exactly what I was looking for. I am 6' 00" 205lbs and I normally carry 10-20lbs of gear. They were very comfortable to wear and didn't pinch my toes. It snowed at my house, so I figured it was time to try these out and check the fit before a real snowshoeing trip. Right away I struggled with the binding locking up and not being able to get my shoe out. These have extremely cheap made bindings, and one of the four ratchets just doesn't work.
