This ring is much nicer than the photos. It doesn’t photograph great. BLING BALANCE I was ‘just hopeful’ that the “cubic zirconias” would be large enough to see. i also was concerned about whether the balance of bling to the gold plated flat or textured areas would artistically feel to me would feel “right.” ( Art is very subjective.) For me, the ring design and quality scores a very strong “10.” RING HEIGHT On me, and my fingers are on the long side, the ring sits from base of ring finger, to just past the midway point to the knuckle. This is definitely the biggest / “tallest” ring I own, and I have many statement rings. If you don’t like big rings, skip this one. It feels bulky on the sides and I can feel the weight difference. For me, I choose to get used to this; I love this ring! DESIGN OPTION MISSING This ring would have made a fun stacker set. But instead, everything meets up at the back of ring. But the locked circles would have been a cute ring as a single, and the “x” cross over would be fine; many sellerx sell the crossover ring. SIZING My index finger is a spot-on size “7. “ This ring does not fit there. It is NOT a “7” It is close. It clears my knuckle and got stuck on the padded area of my index finger below the knuckle. My ring finger is a tight size “6”. I think eventually this ring will fit either by me using my jeweler’s mallet and coaxing it into a true “7”, or by my continuing to lose weight. If you have thin fingers, top to bottom, the ring probably will fit you. TARNISHING I have no idea if this ring tarnishes. I wipe down all rings and other jewelry worn that day with a microfiber cloth. Then each goes in its own protective bag, then in an air tight container, then in a large plastic tote. Hopefully this extends the life of these costume pieces. WHY I BOUGHT THE RING I like to choose symbols to anchor reaching certain goals in my life. Some people use tattoos; I use rings, usually low cost rings, but something “artsy”, that will look great on camera. Symbols I see in this ring: The small circle is my past before reaching my major goal. The bling just behind it is my coming into this world. The “bar” between the “past circle” to me reminds me that there will be good achievements and lessons learned that I want to bring into my bright future. The “large circle” is my “bright future.” The “gold bar” to the right, reminds me to “stay focused and go forth strong” because I am in my Golden Years. The “crossed lines” to me represents my “crossing the finish line, or major measurable result, which happened on a specific date. It doesn’t matter probably to anyone else what I achieved, but to me, it was a three-year relentless effort with laser focus to pull this off. The kind of achievement I want to scream “I did it!” from rooftops…. The feeling of the moment when I crossed the line was so internally powerful, it makes me feel I can achieve anything I really focus on manifesting, or at least the Journey will lead to other destiny breakthroughs. My “past” is the “textured past.” The “bling” is my “starlit future.” If you have someone in your life, probably someone 30 or older who will “get it about the significance of working a really long time to achieve something and then it happens”, feel free to share my symbols I see in this ring.
