  • Simple, Fun, and Helpful
This book has so much information inside. Not only does it give you 10 new words to study over a 50 day period it also gives you antonyms, verb conjugation, and a break down on the different politeness levels of speech. It also lists the different types of verbs used in the book (하다, irregular ㅂ, adverbs, etc) and the grammar points. You'll want to learn the Korean alphabet BEFORE reading this book because it doesn't go over it. If you already have some knowledge of the language then this should be a fun book to go through. I'm on day 18 and this is the most fun I've had reading a language textbook. Each "day" or lesson comes with the ten words being broken down by definition, phrases the words are used in, and antonyms. The new words are written in short paragraph in Korean and are followed by a crossword, word match, and fill in the blank. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to expand their Korean vocabulary. But please, please, please, learn how to read and write Hanguel first! ... show more

  • Perfect
Very well done. Way more than 500 words in it. Perfect for someone who has been studying for a short while trying to get to the next level. Really impressed with the vocabulary selection, associated words, and accompanying stories. For me, I go through and write down any words I don't know. Put them on a 3X5 card cut in half, and hole punch it on a loose binder ring. I memorize about 10-25 at a time. I've got about 3-500 words down at this point using this method. It would be nice if it also came with a CD to hear the vocabulary. I definitely plan on ordering more from TTMIK. ... show more

  • Great Vocabulary Book!
This is very straight-forward and easy way to learn Korean vocabulary. Since I'm learning on my own, it really helps to learn the context of the vocabulary words and how it can be used in conversation rather than just the word. It's also a manageable amount to learn everyday without feeling overwhelmed. The vocabulary lists are separated by days with 50 days in total and includes audio that you can download from their website. This is a great book to use as a supplement for my Korean language study. ... show more

  • Excellent way to get started with Korean vocabulary.
If you can read Hangul and understand the basic Korean grammar, this book is perfect. It begins by breaking down the conjugation rules, adverbs, adjectives, irregulars, passive voice, and number systems. If you're leaning from talktomeinkorean.com like me, this is an excellent companion to help reiterate the concepts of first level of lessons. It's simple to understand. It can be a bit challenging, but it's thorough and has helped me progress a great deal. ... show more
