Most importantly, this item will come in 2 boxes. I received both boxes on different days. It had great instructions with easy to follow along pics for installation. All pieces were enclosed and visually marked. Arrived with no defects. I was able to put it together alone. The only thing that I didn’t particularly care for were the slides on the drawers. Well made, sturdy and Quality materials. Thought I would need a mattress topper but was firm yet comfortable, slept well. I just had 1 part that was broken out of the box and will try to get a replacement but otherwise very sturdy, stylish and comfortable bed, worth the money!

This Murphy bed is great but not that easy to assemble. Some of the panels were warped, therefore very hard to line up with the screws. The screws that came with the hinges are short and as the panels were folded down some of the screws came out. The hinges on the side to close the front and lock are bent we had to reshape them. The tracks for the bottom to pull out the platform were also uneven and kept popping out so it kept closing uneven. Luckily we are able to adjust by using longer screws, reshaping the locks and adding some more hardware. ... show more

Delivered in two large boxes one that showed damage. There was damage on a couple of pieces, but not in noticeable places. One good thing was that the directions were not too hard to follow. As I was assembling I had problems with the locking pins not securing tight enough , with a few of them breaking completely. It felt as if I were to try and lift one side or another that all the assembled pieces would come apart. The one thing that bothered me the most was the bottom section that is attached to the drawer. The last section of tracks would not stay together. When I pushed it in it wouldn't slide in straight and would pull out the lock pins. This Murphy bed is not at all well designed! I recommend buying one that is already assembled and you can see it working properly. This one is going back! ... show more

This was the only downfall to the purchase. It comes with a 6 inch mattress. I bought another 4 inch mattress to put on top. My daughter said it was very comfortable with the added mattress.
