I think this pail actually does a good job at odor elimination. There are arm & hammer pucks that you put on the inside of the lid which help absorb, plus when you shut the lid the bag closes and with the lid down I don’t smell any poopy diapers. My only complaint is that it does fill up sort of quickly depending on the bag. We have the snap, seal, and toss bags by munchkin and have to change them probably twice a week (he goes to daycare though so if he was home every day probably every other day). I did see online someone say they only put poopy diapers in the pail and just put pee only diapers in the regular trash, which is a good alternative if you take your trash out daily. I would recommend this pail over others.

This diaper pail is the best one on the market. I’ve seen competitor products being used at friends’ houses and they do not compare. The munchkin pail effectively traps each diaper to prevent smells.

I had a Diaper Genie for both of my older kids and was not impressed. To the point that I was going to try to forego getting a diaper pail at all this time. After overflowing our bathroom trash with diapers for a week straight we decided to give in and try this Munchkin diaper pale. It actually looks nice and sleek in our room, keeps out 100% of the scents (so far), and is very convenient to use. I remember having to crank or twist something after each diaper with the Diaper Genie and this one auto-twists when I close the lid which is really nice. It also has a pedal to open the lid.
