    • Just what I needed
Got these to upgrade the power cable to my Stryker 655 10 meter radio. Found some 3 pin plugs that could be separated by removing the screws and soldered new pins on the wires now I have #10 wire all the way from radio to my 25 amp power supply. I also doubled up the 2 positive pins and ran another separate #10 ground wire. It took some doing to modify the plug but it came out nicely and works great. Set my power supply to 14.3 volts and now there's absolutely no power drop when I key up and modulate. I did however change the 40 amp fuse to a 15 amp as the 40 amp fuse was just a bit too excessive for a radio that only does about 60 watts. And no, I didn't need a 100 watt radio, in fact I actually turned it down to about 40 watts because I don't need to overdrive my amplifier to get the full power out of it. It does just fine. I highly recommend these fuse holders, the fuses fit tight, the wire is actually 10 awg and the covers are completely waterproof (I tested them in a glass of water overnight) ... show more

I needed an in-line fuse to protect the new Scotty down rigger and this works perfectly. Very easy to install. The fuse cap fits tightly to keep water out.

These appear to be well constructed. But it’s hard to pull the fuses in and out and even harder to pry the cover on and off. But that’s probably a good thing. It’s indicative of good electrical connections and a waterproof seal.
