Our glass stovetop has a not-very-visible "hot" light to warn when the burner area has recently been used. After yet another accidental touch - ow! - I looked for something attractive to place on the stovetop to warn that it was recently used, and to keep it from being accidentally touched. These silicone pads are great. They're attractive and they can handle the heat once the element has cooled for about five minutes. They also are great when using the stovetop to receive pans removed from the oven after cooking. These are the greatest thing since the invention of the knitted or cloth pot holders- they completely protect the surface they sit on, there’s no way you can burn or melt them, they come in fun beautiful colors, they never have to be replaced and the price is right. Just the right size, the protect from heat wonderfully and they look very nice. Honestly i couldn’t be happier with them. The set include 3 and i generally use two or all three at every meal. I not only use them in the kitchen but I also use them on our walnut TV trays that hubby and I use when we don't feel like eating in the dining room. I adore these and use them daily: they wash easily with warm, soapy water; hold coffee pots, hot pans off the stove, etc., and are really, surprisingly pretty. I protect my stove and countertops with them and wouldn't be without them. This is the 2nd set I’ve purchased. We redid the kitchen and the old set no longer matched. I didn’t even consider anything else because these are amazing. The only downside is if they get something on them and it dries overnight as they are annoying to clean 😂 Still totally worth it.
