Comfort rated from subfreezing to 65 °F (18 °C), these 100% waterproof kids' boots feature a lightweight 4 mm neoprene bootie for comfortable three-season wear. The durable ribbed outsole is self cleaning for stability on slick sidewalks, and it also wraps around the boot for extra grip. These neoprene boots have a back tab and wide opening that make them easy to pull on and off without fuss, while the inner PM Mesh lining keeps active feet cool and dry. These kids' boots are easy to match with just about any outfit. The story began in 1999 with the sole purpose of building the most comfortable, high performance footwear on the market. The need for a more comfortable boot for use in messy and tough conditions led to the design of The Original Muck Boot Company brand footwear. I am an adult woman who wears a size 7.5-8 in women's sizes. I have been wanting a pair of Muck boots for a couple of years (my boys have had them for several years), but just could not bring myself to buy them because of the price. I tried on children's size boots in a local store (where the price was still $70.00). Got on Amazon, and much to my delight, found these adorable boots for $36.00! They are warm, dry, and everything I was hoping for! If you are an adult, and on the fence with these, don't hesitate to buy them! I purchased a big kid's size 7. They can accomodate a thicker sock, but I have worn them mostly with bare feet to run out and fill the outdoor wood stove. My feet do not slide around and are very warm! ... show more

    • Size 5 fits a woman's size 7 very nicely! Keeping me warm doing farm chores in the snow.
I wear a woman's size 6.5 - 7 D. Often I get a 7 to be sure it's wide enough. Therefore, children's size 5 generally fits me quite well, particularly since D width is hard to find in women's shoes, whereas children's shoes are normally D width. These fit me very comfortably in a size 5, with room for a thicker winter sock if I want it. However, a thin sock has been fine in this boot so far, and that includes doing horse farm chores in the snow. I don't know why reviewers are saying these are small. I originally ordered a size 6 because of that, and they were so ridiculously huge, I was walking out of them, and they were pulling all my socks down. I couldn't return them, because I had already worn them to the farm, so I gave them to a friend. These size 5s are perfect. They have good traction, my feet feel warm working in the snow for an hour or two, and I will order them again when these wear out. ... show more

    • Answer to this crazy non-winter weather where u r not sure if snowboots will be needed!
These boots are kinda the answer to a lot of things for a mom of a little boy. They are much easier to walk in than snowboots, and they are excellent for hikes in the hills and to waterfalls, or playing in the creek. Also awesome because they can be used for more than one season. Being as we didn't have snow this year, I wasted fifty dollars on a kid size pair of snowboots that are in pristine condition and will not fit next year. Once I discovered Muck boots, I was not hesitant to pay the orice for an all-season all-purpose boot. I'd say they run true to size, maybe a little small. I would size up next time so that there is room to grow and room to wear a wool sock if need be. ... show more

    • COMFY, DRY feet!
LOVE THESE! My kids have worn muck boots for two seasons now (this is the third) and prefer them over snow boots for sure. They love the comfort of these boots. They use them in the summers at ponds, etc and aren't too hot because they'll be in shorts/ short socks. And in the winter if we go out in the snow with these, they'll use thick wool socks and strap their snow pant gaiters over and they're perfect. I have a pair too and find them to be the only truly waterproof boot. I have some sorels, keens, uggs, and if I'm out shoveling snow or dealing with any wet outdoor situation, I totally prefer these!! The Sorels might be warmer with less socks, but water always seems to make its way in somehow! To be warm in really cold temps, you do have to wear thick wool socks, but thankfully these run a little large and I don't mind the looseness. It doesn't need to be super glove-like to fit well and walk around in, perhaps because they come up so high. ... show more

    • Well-built, great shoes
we were replacing Hatley rain boots that didn't even make it a year before getting a hole. These are really well made, the sole has sufficient flexibility for ages 4+ and lots of traction. They seem warm, a good and bad thing (probably no good june-September but we will get cheapies for then). Overall we are pleased. They fit nicely and will not come off while running. My son is size 11.5, the 12 fit perfectly with a bit of room. I would not go down in size or up significantly in these, just round up from half sizes. We got the green/blue and the color is really nice. I am a little jealous and want a pair myself ;) ... show more
