I was very excited about trying out this new pair of lightning ascent, but a couple miles into this fairly easy trail, I noticed one of the screws/rivets holding the footplate to the snowshoe on my right foot is gone.. I did manage to complete the rest of the ~5 mile hike, but ended up using microspikes on the way down. I've contacted MSR, and I suspect the screw is easy to replace, but if you do go for these highly rated/highly priced snowshoes, be sure to get a repair kit and always take it with you! ... show more
