I bought this for my 10 yr old son’s birthday. The box says for ages 10+ and I definitely agree with that. These gel blaster guns can be dangerous for kids any younger than 10. I love how the gel ball blaster comes with safety glasses for protection. These are definitely needed for eye safety. The instructions that come with this product are very clear & easy to follow! You have to charge the battery that's inside the blaster itself. Instructions say to soak the beads for 4 hours prior. Overall, I think it's a good product used properly and by appropriate age groups. Water beads are fired by this larger toy gun. We are very familiar with this sensory object, as my kid is on the autism spectrum. When these beads are submerged in water, they transform into larger ball-like things roughly the size of a marble. They will shrink back down if the water is removed. These are not intended for use by younger children since they could cause harm if placed in the mouth, ears, nose, or other sensitive areas. This comes with 100,000 small beads that appear to be nothing more than a collection of little packages at first, but when opened and immersed in water, the difference becomes evident. I purchased the largest gun in red for my son, but there are other guns and colors available. I appreciate that it has a rechargeable battery because it saves money, as batteries can get costly. There are also safety glasses and a target to shoot at. This is an entertaining toy that also encourages physical activity. It can be used to play alone or with others, but it should not be directed and shot at people since, despite being water beads, they are still dangerous and can cause injury if used incorrectly. I was browsing Amazon looking for additional gel balls to go with the guns we already I owned. That's when I stumbled upon this guy, which was a great deal. When you factor in that it comes with 60,000 gellets the gun itself is very inexpensive. Into the cart it went! Setup was easy and after charging the battery for 3hrs, we were up and running. Loading was pretty standard and similar to other gel blasters that we own - you fill a large grenade shaped tank with gel balls and screw it onto the gun. The gun comes with two firing modes, Semi and Auto. In Auto mode, you hold down the trigger and gellets rapid fire. Great fun! In Semi mode, you manually pull back a lever and fire a single gellet. Both work great and operate similar to our other guns. My kids loved the looks of this and were all vying to be the 1st one to use it. The paint/color combo plus the shape of the gun make it look really cool. The gun was a little smaller than I expected but that wasn't really an issue. It also comes with a ton of accessories include safety goggles, a practice target, neck strap and of course the 60k gel balls that I previously mentioned. Overall this was a tremendous value and I wouldn't be surprised if we order an additional one in the future. I have three boys ages 8, 11, 15 and so we're slowly amassing a collection of gellet guns so they can battle amongst each other and with friends. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Easy to assemble and works well. Exactly what our grandson wanted for his birthday. These really are lots of fun. You need to soak the balls for about 4 hours prior to use, and rhe gun takes about 90 minutes to charge.

The media could not be loaded. We have been to the gaming spot and played these on rentals. We loved it so much that I decided to get one for home. This gun is impressive from a design perspective. We feel that it doesn't have that range like the professional ones that we played on rentals but these still have a good range with 80ft. Moreover, these are way less heavy than the rental ones. Great for home & I would recommend this product. My 2 cents below : Pros: - Works great with a good range - The gun has good length & is lightweight in the category making it easy to use even on long playtime - Solid built & well-finished gel blaster gun - Incredible build quality. It has a premium look - Comes almost assembled out of the box. Just needs a few smaller parts to be snapped as places - Well packaged item & can be considered as a gift for someone too - They bundle 5 packets of gell balls (100000 Gel Beads) in the bundle - Very reasonably priced product Cons: - None that I see for this price and the functionality Note: The gel balls need to be soaked in water for 4 hours for them to get their desired shape/size. I am naive in these so I directly filled with dry balls out of the box & those tiny balls fell off the gun on tilting. ... show more

I bought this gel blaster for my 8 yr old son, It's a good gun he loved it when we received it. However, the grenade that holds the gels in the gun would not tighten/stay in place, therefore he could not use it. I reported it to the company, they immediately shipped another gun. The replacement did not come within the promised time frame so they shipped a second replacement- stating they did not want any of the guns back. I bought one and ended up with several. The entire family has gel blaster... we had enough to include my sons and friends. We love the guns, kid-friendly, and easy to reload. I would definitely recommend this gel blaster. ... show more
