Initially I was undecided on whether to size down due to most of the reviews telling people to size down when ordering. I chose to go with my true size 9 and glad I did! I have normal width feet and these skates feel snug with little wiggle room for my toes. Heads up though - there is a good wad of tissue jam packed inside the toe box of the boots. It took me a while to dig out all the tissue. These are well built skates and provide great support. They feel snug across the width of my foot but that will ease up once broken in. The boot seems pretty stiff at first but once these skates are broken in then it’s all good. The inside is lined well with some padding for comfort. I bought new bearings, Bont flat toe protector, different toe stops and better waxed laces also. I may upgrade the wheels eventually. I am very happy with my purchase and may update my review later once these are broken in. ... show more

I love these skates!!! The color, comfort and quality is just right. These skates will last me for a while. You do have to break them in since they are a little tight when you first get them but after you skate in them for a while they get loose. It came with tie guards and a skate key.

I really liked these skates. I ended up going a size down (7) than what I usually wear, which is a size 8. I could actually fit the size 7, but I feel like you can just go with your regular size because of how stiff the boot is. It will indeed take some time to break in, but once they do, I can see myself enjoying these skates for a while. I changed out the wheels to the radar energy 57’s since the moxi wheels that they came with weren’t too bad but they were too gummy for my liking. I’ll put them back on when I’m roller skating on the road since they are great shock absorbers. Edit: I can conclude these are the best skates I’ve gotten and it didn’t take too long to break in. I have some impala skates but the beach bunnies have a lot more support, making skating a lot more safe and fun. I rarely actually fall that much in them and I can do a lot more in these than in my impalas (though I think they’re still good enough). ... show more

    • Cute, but not great if you’re hard on skates

They are super cute, pretty comfortable, and easy to take care of. However, the toe stops do not stay screwed in (a known problem with these skates), so you’re either constantly tightening them, or you have to glue them in place.

    • Great beginner skates for outdoors

I ended up returning these because I have wide feet and decided that a suede skate would work better for me, personally. The vinyl boots do take some more breaking in, compared to suede. I had also purchased one size too big in these. For reference, I wear 7.5/8 wide in U.S women’s sizes, and I sized down to the 7, but it was too long. A 6 would have been perfect. Measure your foot and look at size charts before buying! That said, I did think they were solid skates for beginners, and the gummy wheels that come with them are perfect for sidewalk skating (but maybe not rough asphalt…I would suggest a larger 78a wheel for that. Some people have trouble fitting a 65mm wheel onto these skates, be advised. But most 62mm wheels would fit). I didn’t have any complaints about quality, only that the sizing was off for my foot. If you have ever worn cheaper “kids” skates, or anything with plastic trucks, the Beach Bunnies would be a very big upgrade. They do come with a heavier aluminum plate on the boot, but that is far better than a poorly-made nylon plate, safety-wise. Still giving 5 stars, in terms of quality and style for the price-point, but I would recommend for narrower feet. ... show more

    • Does Amazon resell skates that have been previously sent back?

My Beach Bunny skates came in today, however I had to return them today as well. I noticed as I open my box that my skates had their own individual clear plastic bag along with a few other plastic bags all were open. The items that were supposed to be in the clear bags or just inside of the box. There was also a large black scuff mark on the outside inner portion of my right skate. The left skate was smaller than the right skate. I'm not for sure if these were previously returned or what the reasoning was behind all of my bags being empty and the items just in the box. I will say as soon as my refund gets returned I will be purchasing another pair. I did try them on that's when I noticed that they were two different sizes but I do have to say these were the most smoothest skates I have ever put on my feet. ... show more

Great skates! Would only recommend different laces. These laces are a more slick material and come untied easily. I’ve been skating my whole life and ended up breaking my wrist behind a fall with these laces coming untied when I didn’t know.. yikes I know.. so from my lesson learned to you.. GET NEW LACES lol. Otherwise I love them and will be back on the rink when I am out of a cast haha. Also replaced the wheels with light up wheels and they looked awesome. They are true to size!, if anything size up if you prefer thick socks. Hope this helps someone make a decision on skates because I know I searched high and low in reviews for skates. Love them!
