This has a metal base that attaches solidly and stays in place. It adjusts easily to hold my 40-ounce (maximum) container and does not slide down. It is well-made and attaches to the bicycle handlebars (for a taller container) or the frame (for a shorter container), so you are not restricted to the much smaller container your bicycle typically holds on the frame. The instructions are very limited in the Amazon description and are provided only with one image on the box showing the assembled holder with no other details. However, installation seems obvious by inspecting the components and choosing a desired location: Remove ALL screws with the tool (Allen wrench) provided, attach the holder clamp in place (either to handle bars (permitting a taller and larger container) or to a bicycle frame without using the clamp. If attached to handlebars, tighten the necessary screws with the plate facing forward, and then attach the other parts. The plate is not used if attached to the frame. Bottom line: This is an excellent product that is well worth the price.

This water bottle holder for my bicycle is very sturdy and bolted to my handlebars really well, it's rock solid. I like that it is adjustable so I can use different sizes of water bottles in it & holds them tight so they don't fall out.

I love it! It easily holds your drink container/bottle firmly since it’s made strong enough to work on a motorcycle. It has good visual style. And it sits perfectly in my bike frame, what more could I ask for? This is without a doubt my favorite bike drink bottle holder to date!

Very sturdy,well made and good materials. Easily adjusted to accept small and very large drinks. Easy install, less than 5 minutes on my wife’s Atv, she only wishes it could hold a margarita glass !!! Thank god it doesn’t :)

Though made in China, this unit feels like it's a good quality unit. It also looks great. However, I likely should have got a different type of bottle holder. I'm using a metal water bottle that's 30 oz. It's big, and heavy; especially when full of water. Hitting bumps in the road jars the water bottle around a little, with the plastic parts of this holder scratching the painted surface of the water bottle. I've hit a few bad bumps, and the water bottle (as heavy as it is), does not fall out. That's awesome! I feel though, if you're using a large metal bottle for this holder; you might not want to use one as big as the one I'm using (30 oz.). I want to try and put this holder in a different spot, so the water bottle is vertical; currently it's near horizontal. I think that might help with some of the bumps. Otherwise, for smaller water bottle; I think you'd be just fine with this unit. Thank you! This water bottle I'm using barely fits, it's 3.5" diameter -- the max for this holder is 3.6". lol 30 oz. Stainless steel.

I made many previous purchases of water bottle holders for my motorcycles and bicycles. This item is made very well and is better than anything I had in the past. The plastic parts are thick and robust. At all attachment points there are secure metal parts that look like they will last a very long time. It is super adjustable, much more than most, and can hold your drink very securely. I tried a standard 16 oz bottle, a 1 liter bottle, and my camelback water jug. All fit securely with room to spare. It is adjustable no no tools. The vertical mounting tube on my Aventon Soltera 2 was a little too fat to fit the mounting clamps and screws. I purchased a pair hex head machine bolts (M5 x 40 .80 pitch) that were longer and it worked out fine, even though the clamps were slightly undersized for the mounting tube surface. I hope this helped.
