  • Exactly As Pictured
Color: Natural
Box was delivered in good condition and we had zero broken pieces after I unboxed everything so that was awesome. It took me 5 ish hours to put together by myself. The only part I got help with was putting the roof on because the braces used to attach the roof panels together is kind of flimsy and the panels will come apart of you aren't careful when you lift it. I found out the hard way but luckily nothing broke when one of the panels came off when I was trying to put the roof on myself. All of the parts are labeled so that helps a lot know where everything goes. The biggest advice I'd give is to pay close to the orientation of the panels in the instructions and keep a close eye on where all the holes should be. I messed up twice and had to go back and take something apart to flip it around so the holes lined up right. Besides that it's a pretty easy and straightforward thing to put together, it's just time consuming, but the kids love it! ... show more

  • This is adorable
Color: White
So I was a bit concerned about the timeline for shipping but it came way sooner than expected. It was a gift for my granddaughter for her 2nd birthday. My daughter and her neighbor put it together in 2 hours. They did use power tools which cut the assembly like time compared to some of the other reviews. Side note both women do DIY projects so they are familiar with construction. The house is sturdy. My granddaughter loves the little picnic table on the side. ... show more

  • Assembly Tips & Product Feedback
Color: Natural
- Start assembly in the exact location where you plan on keeping this structure. Do not start assembly in your garage if you plan to move it to your yard; it is very difficult to move once assembled and you could damage the structure. Also be mindful of the orientation. If you want the door to face a certain way you will have difficulty turning the structure once fully assembled. - Assemble on even, flat ground. If your surface is uneven, bumpy, etc. your pieces will become disjointed and the house will not come together properly. If you’re building on grass/dirt consider placing a large piece of cardboard as your foundation to even out your surface. - Mind the location of sprinklers. A spray head close by will surely cause this wood to rot in no time. - Remove everything from the box and lay all your pieces on the ground prior to assembly. Each piece has a number so the easier it is to locate each piece number the smoother the assembly. Also note that some number stickers fall off and some will attach to the wrong part. Use the manual for guidance when in doubt. - Instructions are not great but I’ve seen worse. - If your assembly is outdoors be mindful of windy conditions. A mildly strong gust could damage a panel that is partially attached or a wall that’s attached on only one side or with a single screw. To mitigate you can try to use a chair or other object for support (or get someone to hold the panel while you completely attach it). - The wood quality is not the best. You need to be careful not to over tighten screws to prevent cracking. You may also consider staining the wood to ensure durability. - Two people are better than one but you can pull it off on your own (like I did). - Take your time. Familiarize yourself with everything. Don’t expect to be done in 2 hours. It took me about 8 hours from unpacking to finish. (I’m a bit handy but I’m not a pro). - Overall this is a nice little house considering the price ($325 on Feb 2021). I think my 5 year old will probably get 2 years out of it. ... show more

  • Such a cute playhouse!
Color: Natural
Bought for my daughters 3rd birthday, but I also bought this playhouse because it’s tall enough for my 6 year old to play inside with her. It took my husband and I a little less than 3 hours to put together. A power drill is a absolute must, it will take you triple time to put together by hand. Couple pieces missing and a couple pieces of the wood were split, but we made it work, thankfully my husband knows about carpentry and is very handy. Pretty sturdy wood but light enough to move if needed, with 2 people. Shipping was so fast, literally one day. All and all, a great purchase and not going to sweat on the small stuff! It’s a adorable playhouse. ... show more

  • Total mess
Color: White & Raven
Bought this for my daughter for Christmas and it arrived with 3 missing pieces (including the two front windows!) and another 6 pieces that were super damaged. I’ve contacted the manufacturer about getting the replacement parts but I can’t imagine they’ll get here in time for Christmas. I’m completely devastated and Kidkraft should be ashamed of themselves. I’ve always been a loyal customer but this is really unacceptable. Also the photos show the house being all white with a grey roof and picnic table and it’s definitely a White House with black table, black top windows and a brown door and roof. I don’t actually mind that but it would have been nice to know before buying it for planning purposes. ... show more

  • Nice design, easy assembly, terrible quality control.
Color: White
Pros: I love the look and design of this little play house. The assembly is super easy, a chimp who can turn a screw driver should be able to put this together in an afternoon. Made from real wood, no mdf or other junk. Con: Really cheap hardware. I have had the playhouse for about a month. My daughter isn't even two years old, so her play is very gentle at this point; meaning I know she didn't break these screws. They all snapped at various "stress points" on the house. There are some joints, particularly corners, where a single screw is taking on a bit more stress than necessary. This is due to short pieces being butted up, presumably to fit in the flat pack box. My advice, take inventory of the hardware included, and go buy some quality screws of the same size before assembly. The included screws are garbage. ... show more
