My daughter plays volleyball and she loves these shoes. Very comfortable, very light weight. She has had the for a full year and they are staying together. Very durable. The size is true to fit and they have great arch support. Mizuno is an excellent company with style and quality.

A few great things: they don't slide back off your heel when you lunge or do a plank; they provide good balance and stay firm around your ankle; good cushioning for jumps; provide arch support which was important to me. Ordered in red, which turned out to be a true red-a positive. Daughter reports them being "kinda comfy" with the biggest negative being how you have to slide your foot into the shoe; the tongue is completely attached so it is slightly difficult. I didn't realize shoes made such a big difference in gameplay and speed. I was wearing basic Nike's but after 30 minutes my feet would ache. Ended up getting Mizuno 2 Wave Momentum in size 8.5 in March (4 months ago) to replace those. There's a little bit of a break in period but once I broke them in every part of my playing improved because of the solid grip (without it being sticky). I have wide, flat feet and these feel comfortable for up to 3 hours of play. My rec teammates have complimented them and I've recommended they get a pair too. If you look at the photo I posted there's a little bit of color skimming off the inner parts of the shoes, but otherwise stitching and structure feels solid. I bought these for $140 in March, today they're on sale for $100 so got a second pair. ... show more

She purchased shoes that we're pretty, pretty shoelaces and very stylish, but did not get the job done. I purchased these new shoes for her and it's a different ballgame for her this year.
