  • Shoes are different for everyone!
Size: 12 Color: Smokeblue Wht Neolime
I'm on about my 15th pair of these in 8 years or so. Shoes are different for everyone, and I switched to these after trying similar brooks and asics models. They've stuck! For a tall, lean runner (190 lbs), I get about 500-600 miles a pair so they last just a little more than half a year. The model shifts over the years haven't created any problems for me. I switched from the standard version to the mesh top a few pairs ago and I love how light and airy they are. The only drawback is that once they're no longer good for running, they don't hold up quite as well in their second life (hiking/biking/yard work) as the ones with a more structured upper. No matter, I go through them fast enough that there's always a spare pair around somewhere. ... show more

  • Mizuno Men's Wave Rider 24 Running Shoes are comfortable and lightweight
Mizuno makes excellent, reliable running shoes and their classic Wave Rider running shoe is no exception. They're springy but still supportive. Compared to their Wave Inspire line, which I also like, these don't prioritize stability and they are lighter in weight. I also like the colorways.

  • Questionable quality on this generation. Mizuno honors warranty, though +UPDATE+
These shoes are so comfortable and were exactly what I wanted. Fit my feet well, had a decent upper that doesn't pinch the top of my feet and a comfortable toe box. I like they way they hit the ground when running and they really feel natural. Whoever *designed* the shoe should get a high-5. The shoes are manufactured horribly. Just like multiple reviews state, the uppers are tearing, the outsole's glue is failing on the tread and I'm tripping over the treads as they break from their glue. I weigh 170lb and have ran 47 miles in these shoes since purchased 6 weeks prior to this review. I would like to say that I emailed Mizuno USA and they honored the shoe warranty immediately. The company will keep my business for now, and I'll just hope they make some adjustments for the Wave Rider 25 **UPDATE --It has been about 4 weeks since my replacements have arrived and I just noticed the same defect is starting to form in the replacement pair. Maybe I have weird feet because otherwise i'd expect to see more of a similar complaint. ... show more

  • Delaminated after 25 miles
For the past 6 years I have been running in Mizuno Waveriders. This pair of knit WR24 have been one of the most comfortable pairs I’ve had. Unfortunately the sole under the right toe started delaminating after a couple of runs. Not sure if this is specific to this model or indicative of an issue across the line. ... show more

  • Improvement over Wave Rider 23
Size: 7 Wide Color: Castlerock-phantom
I've run on the Wave Rider series for 15 years, and the 24 is the best yet. Lighter than the 23 but with the stability and support that you would expect. Cushioning seems better as well.

  • Forrest would like these :)
Updated Jan 2021: Same issue as the WaveRider 23... the inside left heel fabric tore open. There’s something going on with the heel flex point and the hard plastic “heel cup” where the fabric catches and tears. 😏 this hopefully gets reinforced/ fixed on the next gen design. I untie and loosen laces - so it’s not from me forcing my foot into the shoe. = = = = = = = Brand new to me this week. First couple runs = same perfect fit. I noticed these are a touch more narrow than previous models, but still a generous toe box with good flexibility... no rub spots. They feel good - as they should. Laces are short if you tie them with the back eyelet like I do - but that’s trivial. 5-star in my book. I’ll update this after additional mileage. ... show more

  • Comfortable for most purposes, BUT DIDN'T EVEN LAST ME 6 MONTHS
EDIT: I originally ranked this shoe 4 stars. I'm now giving it 2, and almost want to give it 1. I've had these shoes about 6 months and the sole is already starting to peel off. I don't even run in these! They are my daily wear, and I use them for exercise. ORIGINAL: This shoe is awesome. I have two small gripes with it. The fabric in the toe has become indented such that on one toe there is an inward lump that brushes against my toes. This happened while hiking and it went from annoying to potentially blister-causing. The other issue is that there is a large groove running through the sole of the shoe and that can get large rocks stuck in it fairly easily. Otherwise these are great, super comfortable, and supportive. Certainly would buy again despite these issues. ... show more

  • Great Shoes!
Size: 15 Color: Castlerock-phantom
These shoes are great! I generally keep 3-4 pairs for running at a time and these are a nice addition. I was skeptical because I've never tried this brand and some brands don't fit my feet well at all (brooks for example). But these fit great! Not too much cushioning, lightweight and they are very comfortable. I put about 30 miles a week on them and I haven't had any structure or sole issues or any threads come undone so it's well made and holds up to my frame (6 ft, 250 pounds). I'm looking forward to trying more Mizuno's! I would definitely recommend giving these a shot. ... show more
