I’ve ordered quite a few formal dresses over time, and I am very picky about what I like. This is one dress that stands out as a good find. It looks and feels more expensive than it is, which is always what I’m hoping for with dresses in this price range. I received the Wine color in size Small. It is an absolutely beautiful color that is classy and sophisticated. It's a really nice rich dark shade of wine that is perfect for Fall and Winter or to wear around the holidays. It's also a nice romantic color that would make this a beautiful bridesmaid dress. It definitely has an expensive look to it. I absolutely love the cut and of this dress. There are so many small unexpected details that make it even better than you'd think. The off the shoulder sleeves are very flattering, and the gathered details of the fabric are so beautiful. I particularly love the side slit with the ruffles on the side. It makes it easier to move in and keeps you from being too covered up with fabric- it's still stylish. It's classy but also really chic and stylish. The overall style is very flattering and easy to wear. It's perfect for any formal event such as a wedding. The fit is what really makes it. The top portion gives enough structure to define your shape, while the rest of the dress flows nicely and moves well. The fabric has some stretch, so it’s comfortable and forgiving, but still holds everything in place so it looks polished. It looks perfect paired with strappy heels and a clutch. I would recommend wearing this with nude shapewear underneath if you want to get a better fit and suck in any lumps/ bumps/ etc. It just looks so much better- but I would recommend that for basically any formal or semi-formal dress anyway. It's pretty much a wardrobe staple for me at this point, but it does make the dress have that sleek appearance instead of looking lumpy. For reference, I’m 5'4" and about 120 pounds and the dress fit me really well. My sister is 5'9", 127 pounds and it also fit her, so it works on different heights- the length will just hit a little shorter or longer depending on how tall you are. I have to admit it looked a lot better on her since she is tall and thin, but I've pretty much learned to expect that. This is a style that has that statuesque quality so it looks great on tall women. But I was able to pull it off too- the side slit definitely helped to make me feel like I wasn't so covered up with fabric. Okay, I was hoping this dress would be pretty, but THIS DRESS IS FREAKING GORGEOUS!!! It is one of those dresses that you put on and immediately feel like you need somewhere fancy to go. 😂 It looks elegant, sexy, and expensive without being over the top. The off-the-shoulder neckline is stunning. The ruffled detailing gives it a softer, romantic look while still showing just enough shoulder to make the dress feel sexy and sophisticated. It's such a flattering neckline for a formal gown. I also LOVE the ruched mesh through the body. The ruching adds dimension and makes the dress incredibly flattering instead of having thin fabric just lying flat against every curve. Combined with the slim fit, it really creates a beautiful silhouette. Then you have the slit and mermaid-style hem, which completely finish the look. The slit gives it a little drama and keeps the long gown from feeling too conservative, while the mermaid shape makes the entire dress look much more glamorous. The soft stretch mesh was another pleasant surprise. A dress can look amazing, but if you can't comfortably sit, walk, or move around in it, I'm probably never wearing it again. This has enough stretch that it feels much more wearable than I expected for such a fitted formal dress. And most importantly, it does NOT look like a cheap formal dress in person. That's always my biggest concern ordering gowns online. Sometimes the listing photos are gorgeous and then what arrives looks like a sad Halloween costume. 😂 This one actually delivers. Wow. Just wow! This dress looks even better in person than it does in my pictures. It actually gives me the appearance of having a figure! The fabric is soft, comfortable, and easy to wear, and I really like the way it drapes without feeling clingy. Another pleasant surprise was how well it traveled. The dress arrived neatly folded in a plastic bag, but when I took it out and unfolded it, there were hardly any wrinkles at all. That makes it a great option for packing in a suitcase without having to worry about ironing it when I arrive. I have an upcoming wedding to attend, and I’m planning to wear this dress. It’s comfortable enough to wear for several hours while still looking dressy and put together. I’m really happy with this dress. This dress has a very elegant, almost high-end formal look once it’s on. The olive green color is slightly deeper in person than the photos, which I actually preferred because it looks more muted and sophisticated under indoor lighting. The mesh material has a nice stretch to it, but it’s still structured enough to hold the ruched design in place without sagging. The off-shoulder part is flattering, but I did notice I had to adjust it a couple of times when moving my arms a lot. It didn’t fully slip down, but it does shift slightly depending on posture. The slit gives it a little sexiness, and the mermaid bottom flows really nicely when you walk. I got the black in an XL, and I like that it’s a pull-on dress with no zipper to fight with.
