My wife wore Miss Dior years ago and loved it but for a long time we couldn't seem to find it in the stores, so she started wearing other fragrances. When I found this available on Amazon last Christmas season, I bought her a bottle. Perhaps I remember the scent differently. Perhaps my smeller has changed. Perhaps Dior has altered the scent. Perhaps the bottle was old and that accounts for the strange fragrance (we had that happen with a bottle of cologne for me - we took it back and exchanged it and the new one smelled like the scent I knew rather than the one that I returned). Perhaps I'll never know for sure... Whatever the case, we are unlikely to take a chance on trying Miss Dior again - at least not from Amazon, where you can't sniff it in the store before you buy it. At roughly $100 a bottle, it's a pricey mistake... ... show more

I began dating my wife in 1968 and the scent of her "Miss Dior" is burned into my memory. I have replenished her stock over the years but found it increasingly hard to find; she was down to just a few precious drops. So I was excited to find the scent available again, but on arrival was disappointed that the formula differs a bit from the original.
