I have bought the Acorn sheepskin booties for decades, but the quality has been deteriorating for years. They used to last 5 or 6 years. Then 2 years. Then with the last pair I bought a few months ago the soles were separating from the sheepskin in less than 3 months! So gave up and got these...Cheaper, and better made by far. The soles are far superior and I predict will be much stronger as are of much superior design. They initially feel a bit narrow but loosen up within a few weeks. Acorn needs to get their act together so until they do I recommend these instead! ... show more

I wear sheepskin slippers pretty much year round our forest house. I do chores, empty the garage, walk the dog on gravel roads, and keep my feet warm the whole day long. I love them. My strategy is to buy a great slipper (my favorites are a competitor whose name sounds like a tree), and then replace the insoles with cheap wool insoles every two months. They wear out after 6 to 9 months with the soles coming apart. Minnetonka offered the only sheepskin slipper out there. Then an alternative (sounds like a tree) came on the market for a more reasonable price and I loved it. Now they're out of stock - Back to Minnetonka. Unfortunately they're still ridiculously expensive. As an example of why I dislike Minnetonka someone in marketing decided the shoe needed an inside label, so they sewed it to the seam just above the top of your foot. So because it makes a blister there, I had to remove it with a knife and scissors. Minor petty imitation but symptomatic of branding being more important than product.. I hope the supply chain problems end soon. Sigh... ... show more

I really like these boots, but had to go one up from my normal size so that my toes don’t get scrunched up — even after the “breaking-in” period. Yes, the manufacturer says the fit should be ‘snug’, but it was too snug even though my feet are narrow! In fact, as soon as I put on the bigger size, my feet immediately thanked me, “ah, we can breathe/move now!” ... show more
