  • Very comfortable, no arch support, snug at first, lacing will stretch, these may become too loose.
Size: 11 Color: Brown
My comments are based on 2 pair of these, (in size 11M) and I wear them for SEVERAL hours daily. A proper fit for me is narrow to medium, but I can wear wider MARKED footwear-and NON-premium shoe/slipper sizing these days is not precise by anyone's estimation. Weight about 170. Your results may vary. The lacing is effective as decoration, don't expect much adjustability from it-unless your wish is to to bring the rear of the slipper forward. The leather boot lacing used stretches over time and after you readjust it the first time expect it to loosen forever afterwards-unless you double knot. I really liked the fit of these out of the box-the pile lining made them fairly snug, but not overly tight. However, the synthetic pile lining compresses quickly and they get significantly looser after a few hours. That was fine, because I usually use 1 or 2 additional innersoles, and out of the box I couldn't do that. A 1/4" thick compressed wool felt innersole was fine for a month or 2, with the slippers still snug enough to not fall off easily. However they continued to become progressively looser. About this time the stitching at the tongue junction started coming loose on one side of one slipper, so I restitched that junction on both sides of both slippers. That helped snug the slippers up a bit. Another month or so the slippers were loose enough for me to insert DOUBLE thick foam innersoles on top of the wool ones. (Not memory foam or gel innersoles.) They were snug again for another month or 2. About this time I added a thin fiberglass arch support to each slipper. By a month or 2 later the slippers were extremely loose, allowing the rear half of my foot to slide side to side quite a bit, and the slippers to slip off in situations where they would not have previously. I restitched/overstitched about 2 inches of front lacing from the tongue forward on one slipper and that has taken some of the looseness out. (I made lacing holes slightly inboard of the original ones with an awl.) My next adjustment on any new pairs of these will be to make new holes for the decorative lacing further up the tongue from from the original holes. One last thing. The soles of these slippers have held up remarkably well-enough so, that (to me) making the several adjustments was warranted. ... show more

  • Love em. Buy a size down. But they're flipping awesome.
I'm bummed because I got my shoe size and they came in way big. I normally wear a 9.5 wide. But my feet aren't that wide that I can't do without the W. This was promising because it had my half size and it was W. Very exciting. But... alas. They're about a size 11. That is to say, I loved em. But can't wear em. But my teenage son also loves them and he is a size 11. So... now I just have to go a size down and buy another pair. I'm very excited about these though. They are nice. (*Update: I've had them for a month or so now.*) They're incredible. #1 The people who say things about the inferior quality or them not holding up. Whatever. There's always going to be some quality control errors, but these things are rock solid. Excellent quality and durability. Good for outside but I haven't stepped in a puddle yet with them :grimace:. You can eyeball them and see they're well made. I know we like to trust reviews above all else, but always weight that against the reality that many times those of limited intellectual prowess get angry when things don't go how they want to and they want revenge. #2 Buy small. As described in the op, I am a 9.5W shoe, I bought 9.5W and they were size 11. Fit my size 11 some perfectly. So, I went down and got a 8.5 not wide and it was tight when I got it, but fit perfect now that the plushies are broke in. #3 I wear socks with them. My feet do sweat without socks. I'm a fit dude, but I'm a guy who just sweats. So, not surprised. But that TAG! It doesn't bother me with socks obviously, but I looked closely at it given the many negative comments about the tag. Real simple folks. Get an exacto knife, cut the stitching, remove the tag. NOT hard. lol. The company should be branding their materials and unless you want a big ol Minnetonka logo on the side of your slippers just cut the dagon tag off. Me and my son are both extremely in love with these things. I'm excited to continue to buy Minnetonka in the future!!! ... show more

  • A bit tight at first but adapts too foot quickly :-)
Size: 12 Wide Color: Black
The shoe was just what I expected. Best news is no surprises. This type shoe is best if its a bit tight at first since it widens a bit and fits perfect after one or to wearings. If it was loose at the begininning it would be a problem later and bee too loose as it expands.

  • I feel like an an American Indian
I'm happy with these moccasins, the soft lining, stiff soul and leather(maybe fake leather I can't tell) out side make these very comfortable to ware. I got them for around the house but have worn them to go to 2 doctor appointments. I happy with my purchase and when I need to replace them in a few years I'll definitely consider getting the same slippers from Minnetonka. ... show more

  • A good quality slipper
Size: 12 Wide Color: Brown
I have been buying this slipper from Minnetonka before, they fit perfectly and look good. They cost a little more but my feet are worth it and they last a long time.

  • Even a wide size was to narrow.
Size: 8.5 Wide Color: Brown
The product appeared to be well made with quality material. Unfortunately I wear a EE and even a EEE width. Though they advocate a Wide size it was to narrow and I suspect may only be a E width. I even accounted for the faux fur lining and potentially matting down over time but, I do not believe it would have made the slipper comfortable. It would have helped if they listed the size and width as in 8.5 E, EE, EEE, versus just wide. I was also attracted to the product since it appears to be made in the USA. They do offer a X-Wide slipper but, only in one model and it is made in China. ... show more
