I'm 5'3" and 165 lbs and I could have easily fit into a large. Also, the hem comes down to the hip on the model, but on me, it hangs down to mid-thigh. The sage color looks the same in person as it does on screen. I hope that with time, the fabric would soften up -- it's pretty stiff, which only exacerbates the way it hangs like a tarp on me. But since it's not stretchy, who knows, maybe the large wouldn't fit after all? My spouse, the sewist, says that it's too big because the shoulder seam comes down several inches on my upper arms. Given all the reviews that mentioned this blouse being too big, I was surprised that in my case, it's just a bit tight across the bust. It doesn't look bad but it feels a little tight. I will keep it, but I'll be washing it with care and hanging to dry. I like the style and that it's made of natural fabrics. I got the red color, and it's kind of a brick red, an autumn-ish color which, given the time of year, will be just about right. I didn't take a star off because I like it so much, but those are not 3/4 sleeves, they hit barely below the elbow on me, it looks awkward. But I will shorten them a couple inches to where I want them and they will be perfect. I really like the fabric texture and weight. And the style is great as long as it's closely fitted but not too tight because it's basically a nice looking smock. If you're looking for a size reference, I'm 5'8" and about 215 lbs. with big hips and bust. Bought an XL, and right out of the package it fits perfect. Trim but not too tight. I really hope it doesn't shrink, but I noticed that the sides could be let out 1/2" per side if needed (and I have a sewing machine plus the skills to use it well). The sleeves are quite wide at the bottom in their flare shape. On my short frame the added some width at my hips. I would have kept the blouse all the same except it was just a bit too large for me. I think it runs pretty true to size though. I’m always hard to fit. Loved the rich color!!!

This shirt is made from quite stiff linen, and has a woven texture pattern. It's a bit too heavy duty for a Texas summer, but I'm hoping it will soften up with multiple washes and be great for cooler weather. In case you were wondering, the necklace is not part of the deal. Which is fine with me, I didn't want that, and planned to cut it off if it was there. The style is great, looks just like the picture, I ordered the “apricot”, hoping the picture was wrong, but it was exactly the same color as the website picture … beige‼️ not apricot. So, it’s much thinner than it looks. I don’t like see through tops, or bottoms for that matter lol. I also don’t like double layers, so won’t use a tank top, but you can. I love the style and cut. It is a wee bit snug across the bust. Would have liked another inch. I ordered a 2X , I’m a 38 C, but it still is very comfortable, in shoulders, and the sleeves. And the length is perfect. I’m short 5’1”. I wear a 2X top and med bottoms. And am overweight. Most tops look like I have a dress on, but this is perfect just a bit past my crouch.
