I ordered this dress last minute and it was perfect! I ordered a size small, I'm usually a small at Old Navy & Target and found that it fit nicely. We had this photoshoot in the evening so I didn't care that it is slight see through, but if you're wearing it in the daytime, wear shorts underneath. I tried it on before washing and length was perfect at mid-thigh. After washing it shrunk about an inch so now I just wear around the house or with leggings cuz I think the dress is really cute. The dress is also fairly sheer, almost like a crepe material. I washed it with dark clothes and it absorbed some dark colors/stains from another new amazon dress ... my bad so be sure to wash yours with light colors only. For this reason, I wouldn't wear it as a swimsuit cover up. ... show more

Compared to the bright yellow dress and description: It was much darker and somewhat of a rust color. The neckline is much lower than pictured (which you may or may not like). The hemline was much lower. It came mostly unbuttoned and one button had two loops on it making it harder to align the loops (in other words, had to button it twice). It came VERY wrinkled and just wadded up in the bag. Considering the buttons, wrinkles, and balled-up state; this dress has obviously been returned at least once before... just as I did. ... show more

This dress was pretty cute before I washed it. I washed it in a garment bag on cold water and gentle cycle and then hung dry. It shrank up like crazy!! It was weird because it didn’t shrink in width wise... just got sure short. Also, the hems were all coming out where the waist is gathered. That is the main reason I returned it. I could have worn leggings or something but for it to be coming apart after one wash was not cool. Bummer because it’s such a cute dress! ... show more

It took forever to come, then only for me to take it out of the package and see that it’s completely sheer. I had high expectations for this dress as the reviews were all so good--- I wore the dress once...once. The dress is very comfortable but MUCH shorter than expected/described, (for reference, I am 5'3" and it is a few inches above the knee). Other than the length, I was happy with the dress until I washed it...I washed it on a gentle cycle and low dryer temp, as I do for all my dresses. 1. The dress shrunk to something I MUST now wear with leggings 2. The tassels and string came apart -- and 1 tassel even completely fell off! There are no instructions that say it can not be machine dried and even still, it should not fall apart! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!! ... show more

I absolutely love this dress! I purchased in navy and the fabric is not see through. It’s definitely on the short side, almost mid thigh on me, I was debating if it was still ok to wear to a work party. 100% perfect for regular summer outfit or beach. Just depends how comfortable you are with dress length, I’m tall so it’s probably shorter on me. I washed in cold water before wearing; it seemed like it shrunk a ton when I took it out.
