I am glad I tried and opened one of those chocolate coins before gifting them away! The chocolate was obviously of bad quality! In addition to looking stained, it tasted stale... 🤢 Bad value for money! For the price they sell these coins, you'd expect better quality! 🤷🏼♀️

The famous Jew, Joan Rivers, used to say, "Can we talk?" before she'd launch into a joke about being candid about something. Can we talk about gelt? I don't think Hanukkah gelt has every been my favorite chocolate. It's usually way too sugary and waxy to really be very good. It's like Christian Easter chocolate. Honestly terrible. So keep your expectations realistic. The reason I'm giving these gelt coins five stars is that they are just like the gelt I grew up with, and they have the beautiful embossed gold foil. For that, they are the perfect chocolate gelt coins.
