I was hoping to use these as trail lights for a dirt bike but they ended up slightly too large for a dirt bike. With a road or multi-sport bike that has a larger frame I think you could easily get away with the size. I ended up using these on the back of the dirt bike trailer as an extra source of light for loading and backing. These are bright lights and dare I say a little too bright with a heavy power draw to be used as daily lighting (for my alternative use) on just a battery driven 12v system however for their intended purpose with a constant source of 12v power these lights will surely brighten the road in front of you. These 3-inch light pods are impressively bright, they cut through the dark really well and make night riding much safer. The beam pattern is solid, with a good mix of spot and flood, so you get both distance and coverage. My only gripe is that they’re a little bulky for the size, which can make mounting a bit tricky depending on where you want to put them. The wiring was straightforward, though, and once mounted, they feel sturdy.
