  • Overkill for Older Devices
Style: Black
This is not a bad pen. It does the job for writing on the screen. Pressure gradient's a little sensitive for my tastes, but I can adjust that out. No, the main reason I only give this pen 4 stars is that it's not a good fit for older Surface computers (Surface 3 or 4). The Surface 4 pen is your best choice. Here's why: Pen 4 Costs Less Pen 4 has a belt clip Pen 4 includes spare tips You're paying extra in this pen for a feature you can't even use on a Surface 3 or 4, namely the "Tilt" function. ... show more

  • Almost didn't get this...glad I did!
Style: Black
I didn't originally order, or think I'd get much use out of the Surface Pen for my new Surface Pro 6 (in sexy mat black). I originally ordered a Signature Type Cover with fingerprint scanner that arrived as the standard plastic covered fingerprint keyboard. Turns out, all of the sellers I contacted ship that instead, and say they're not aware of the Alcantara keyboard.....I reordered another Signature Type Cover (burgundy), standard, without fingerprint scanner and this pen kept popping up teasing me. I figured that since I was saving money buying the new cover, I might as well get the pen so I ordered a black pen with burgundy Alcantara Type Cover for my new black Surface Pro 6. Once they came in the next day, I started checking out the pen. It paired super easily, then I discovered it's not just a stick with a tip that draws funny little pictures. I won't use it for drawing, I don't draw, but there's a lot of other uses I wasn't aware of. I can annotate, take notes, mark up doc's or even use it as a mouse or just a "clicker" as I call it. It attaches to the side of the Surface Pro 6 like glue. It's priced well and while most may not get the use some might, it's worth having in my opinion. There may be times it comes off and gets put somewhere safe but it;s great to have for use in both laptop and tablet mode's. ... show more

  • Broke after 6 weeks
Style: Cobalt Blue
Great for 6 weeks. However, pen side stopped responding after a few weeks - still connects with bluetooth and eraser works. 3 attempts to contact support without a resolution. Very disappointing result for $70+. Was strongly considering purchasing more Surface brand hardware, but can't say I trust the brand much anymore. ... show more

  • Better at art than I am
Style: Black
The pen is very good. I hear tale that the Apple pencil is better. But at my skill level I cannot tell the difference. There are however, a few feature that to make this pen a bit better for me. There is a flat side, if it weren't for thermodynamics telling me otherwise I'd believe that the Apple pencil (unmodified) would roll forever. The eraser side of this can actually be assigned a function. I use it to erase, which is cool for me, a low level user. These do not recharge like the pencil. Which may or may not be an issue for you. Because its so thin it takes AAAA batteries, which I had never even hear of before this thing. Honestly, product loyalty will probably decide which one you use, but for surface users, this thing is pretty much a no-brainer. ... show more

  • Puts the style in stylus
Style: Black
This pen is far superior to the cheap knock offs. -The pressure sensitivity is significantly higher -The build feels more substantial -The price is higher (that’s how you know it’s better). It feels truly pleasant to use and has a very low rate of malfunction. This may be the stylus to which all other shall be judged If you enjoyed my review give me a thumbs up 👍 ... show more

  • Excellent Pen or Wand? It's Magical
Style: Black
I purchased this pen to go with the Surface Go. I mainly purchased it because it was Microsoft and I was worried about spending little and getting what I paid for, junk. I felt the price was fair and from my research was comfortable with purchasing the pen. I have been having fun with the pen and using it more than I had anticipated. I'm looking forward to using it more on my art projects and exploring the possibilities. It has a cool feature of highlighting what you are hovering over without touching the screen. ... show more

  • Upgraded is worth it
Style: Black
i needed a new pen when i upgraded to the surface pro 2017. I had the SP3 pen from a pervious surface I owned that i was using. The tech at the microsoft store implied that the sensitivity is less with the old pen than the new pen. i was skeptical so i ignored her suggestion. Let me tell you, i was dumb to ignore her advice. When i bought this pen, you automatically notice the difference between the two pens. it rights smoothly (smoother than the apple pen for the Ipad), and easily functions well. If you have a new surface, this pen is a must. ... show more

  • The future is now
Style: Black
I use my surface pen on my surface book 2. There is no lag between the screen and my pen. It writes smooth and the eraser actually erases the screen. This pen won’t make the average persons computer experience incredibly different, but it’s ridiculously fun to use. I started writing instead of typing just because I enjoy it more now than ever. It seamlessly connects to the computer and attaches to the side via magnets. If you have any interest at all it’s worth purchasing. I don’t use mine all the time but I thoroughly enjoy it when I do. ... show more
