I received a sample when I placed a beauty product order online from a dept store. With regard to perfumes, I tend to have a few "favorites" & pretty much alternate between them, not seeking out new scents BUT ... immediately after smelling the sample I went to the dept. store's web site - I was ready to order!!! No exaggerating!! After seeing the dept. store's retail price I came to Amazon to be happily surprised to find it priced ~$20 LESS!!! Of course without hesitation it was in my shopping cart! Arrived quickly (Prime member). I was a little doubtful; wondering if it would be authentic. Immediately that doubt was removed with the incredible scent of this unique perfume matching perfectly to that of the sample from the "high end" (overpriced) dept. store. Seems it smells quite different to different people, but the best way I could describe it would be to agree with a review from another customer ... I immediately thought of this scent as a "combination of seduction, strength and glamour." I'd have to add femininity, confidence,and unique!! Many have described it as "fruity" ... I'd say I do smell a confident raspberry scent along with a soft "flowery" scent ... perfectly balanced. To top it off, a little goes a long way - scent lasted all day (and probably as I slept) with a little amount applied to the standard "perfume spots" (inside of wrists and behind the ears) and then a light spray just aimed at my direction mid body .. lol. The compliments kept coming in!! The packaging is very pretty! This is a wonderful scent. Definitely get this as a sample or stop by the counter @ the department store but don't give them your $$$ - This is the real deal at a much lower cost!

I like that it is not a fruity or florally fragrance. It has an elegant, sexy scent to it. Stays on pretty long, several hours before refreshing. Excellent value for the money with as many ounces that are in the bottle. I wear it most every day.

Smelled this in a recent magazine sample and fell in love and it’s even better in person....this is a gorgeous, romantic and perfect scent for winter! Just a Little is all you need as it definitely will stay with you all day.... this bottle will last for long time! If you’re unsure and never have smelled this, perhaps buy the little roll-on bottle first... but this is a memorable fragrance. Michael Kors Island is my favorite scent for summer, now I’ve found my winter!!! PS UPDATE: It's now over $20 cheaper than it was at Christmas time (less than 2 months ago!) but was worth it at $99 too. Just a great scent!
