I’m very new to playing with epoxy resin crafts and art and stumbling my way through the learning process (as many pieces of ruined clothing with attest to). I began recently using liquid colorings which were okay or so I thought until I ordered this kit of 24 jars. When I began mixing up my colors to make a batch of Christmas tree ornaments today I literally gasped at how amazing these colors looked especially compared to the liquid gunk. These are pearly, satiny, swirling with depth and density…they’re gorgeous. It really is like comparing a flawless diamond to a piece of synthetic cylindrical diamacron (no joke, that’s a real thing they used to try and sell on late night Ronco-esque TV mail order ads). I poured my first set of ornaments just a few minutes ago and I’m climbing the walls waiting for the epoxy to harden so I can get a look at my creations. I’m pretty sure even if I messed them up badly (highly likely) they’ll still be a beautiful mess, kinda like me ;-) I’m very pleased with this for the quality and the price and for all the new possibilities this opens up creatively. ... show more

Easier than many other methods to color resin! I tried using multiple different methods to get the color into my project. I hesitated to use mica because I was not familiar with it. After several failures, I ordered this product. It is AMAZING! The depth of color is what you want and it only needed the smallest amount. Try it - you won’t be disappointed. I feel like this is a huge score for me. The colors are bold and vibrant. All the packages are clearly marked with the colors. I mixed the black pearl with resin and used a very small amount to get an amazing pearl effect. Great value and product!

I usually bought another pack of mica and I saw this, the bags looked small so I wasn't sure how much I would get. Well it turns out I'm getting way more mica for less money! The other bigger bags I got had a light weight, these little bags are full! And so many different colors, pearl like colors, and beautifully and clearly labeled. I use these to mix in fountain pens ink. The results are wonderful shimmering inks. I experiment with very small quantities of ink. These powders are fine enough and mix well, I also mixed different powder colors in the same ink and the result is stunning. Have not inked a pen yet, I only tested with dip pens.
