  • Incredible Workmanship - Gorgeous in Every Way
Color: 1 Carat Cubic Zirconia Ring Size: 8.5
When my partner of 28 years and I decided to take advantage of the New Marriage Equality Law in our state, the search for wedding bands began as quickly as we set the date. Knowing a little bit about jewelry, not much but enough to evaluate quality and fair price, I spent hours on line, hours visiting jewelry stores - and I pounded the pavement of New York's Diamond District. My conclusion was that even with the entry level of lower end diamonds a VS 1 Clarity rating and an H-G color certification at about 1/2 - 1 Carats set into 14K (18K is to soft) white gold all fell into a price range ranging from $1800- $2500 per ring and up, add another $1,000 for Platinum. While searching around I didn't exclude Amazon, after all we buy virtually everything else here, and found some remarkable deals. However rings from Metal Masters kept popping up in my searches. My first reactions were to roll my eyes - how could any ring priced this low look good, unless it was dark out and you were looking at it from 500 feet away. But the designs kept drawing me back. We had long discussions about using the money (4 grand and up) for a pair of rings or putting it into our 60 year old house which we're remodeling and repairing at a snails pace. he calls it our home sweet home and I affectionately refer to it as a "blood sucking money pit". I finally wrote a note to Metal Masters regarding sizing and the quality of the CZ and they replied quickly with a detailed response. *Note to other potential buyers - remember when ordering a "comfort fit" that you want a half size down for a proper fit. So if you wear say a 9 order a 8.5 and so on. Well, expecting to be disappointed, after all how could a ring priced this low even appear to be of reasonable quality? I ordered two of this style and two of the eternity rings - another great reason to buy these is that we could afford to do just that. Without out having to put 2 grand per ring down as a deposit. For lack of better words all I can tell you is that we were absolutely knocked out. Especially with the Eternity ring. The Titanium is gorgeous, seamless and perfectly cast. The matte finish with it's high polished edge is stunning and that would be without the stones. With the stones? They're incredible. Channel setting must be done by hand, shoddy work means uneven settings and loss of stones which I assure you is not the case here. The setting of each and every Brilliant cut CZ is perfectly spaced and perfectly set. The rings easily compared to ones we saw costing over $2,000 apiece. The Cubic Zirconia crystals are top quality as promised and flawless. CZ isn't new - it was discovered in the mid 1800's but wasn't introduced as an alternative to diamonds until 1976. CZ still remains the number one alternative to actual diamonds today. CZ is cut just like diamonds, as they're very hard, measuring an 8 on the Mohs scale which is harder than most gem stones - Diamonds measure a 10, only two points above CZ. Depending upon the cut both will refract (pull in light and bounce it around inside the stone) and reflect (beam the light out) which causes the "sparkle" so no or dim light = no sparkle regardless if it's a diamond or CZ. As far as the look of authenticity - only an experienced jeweler or gemologist would be able to tell the difference and that's with the help of Loupe or other magnification. This is Because even the finest diamonds in the world have inclusions inside that can't be seen with the naked eye. Quality CZ on the other hand has no inclusions whatsoever so ironically it's their perfection that gives them away. With all this said, these rings are an incredible value and a wonderful alternative to diamonds. What is more, anyone who understands the horrors of diamond trafficking will have the peace of mind in knowing they played no part in supporting it. The rings arrive exceptionally well packaged, each in a Metal Masters presentation box, sized perfectly and delivered with lightening speed. Add to the mix a company that's responsive and stands behind their product 100% and you just can't go wrong. As far as durability these rings get knocked around plenty and after months still not a single scratch or loose stone.Simply a sensational piece of jewelry with a timeless design that you'll be proud to own and even prouder to wear. **UPDATE 5/27 2014** There have been a few comments asking about how these rings have held up. The review was written over two years ago and I'm pleased to report they look as good now as they did when the first arrived. Titanium rates a # 6 on the Mohs scale for metals making it one of the hardest metals there are - Steel rates a 4.5 so I expected the the Titanium to wear well and has. We never take the rings off and they're still scratch free. As for the CZ crystals they're as brilliant as ever. These are top quality CZ crystals and have proven themselves as they're scratch and chip free and every single crystal is still firmly in place. Just a quick update folks on durability which I rate a solid 10. ... show more

This ring looks amazing! I’ve ordered a couple other rings from Metal Masters and the quality has always been spot on. At this price you can’t go wrong. Unlike many other rings at this price point, you’ll typically find stones that have been glued in. On this ring they’re truly channel set & less likely to fall out. Don’t be alarmed if the stones do however move around a bit as that’s pretty common for this type of mounting. You’d have to really damage the outer portion of the channel in order to lose a stone. The only downside to a channel setting is the fact it tends to collect more dirt & grime between the stones. I’ve never found this to be a problem as several months ago i purchased an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner for around $20 which works miracles. Having read some of the reviews it’s apparent many people haven’t done their research on titanium. While titanium is very strong (in most cases even stronger than steel), it is very light weight. This is not an indication of poor quality. This ring is considerably lighter in weight as compared to a ring of this size in gold, sterling silver, steel & most definitely Tungsten. That being said, in-spite of this strength, titanium WILL accrue minor surface scratches over time. But not nearly as much as other precious metals. It will not dent or bend. There are various grades of titanium (pure titanium, aircraft grade & aerospace grade). Pure titanium is the softest of all grades and I’m guessing this titanium ring is not the aerospace grade as it would be considerably more expensive . On a new ring you’re always going to notice the first few scratches. With time, they begin to blend in making them less noticeable. And Titanium can be polished. If you truly want a ring that is scratch-proof, get Tungsten. While Tungsten is nearly as strong as a diamond, it too has its pitfalls. It’s extremely heavy & if you accidentally drop a Tungsten ring, you risk the chance of it shattering. Also note, this is a comfort fit ring. You might want to consider ordering a 1/2 size smaller as the inner portion of the ring is curved. Only a small portion of the inner ring is the actual ring size. Lastly, while titanium is lighter in color vs Tungsten, it still has somewhat of a gun metal hue, being slightly darker than silver, white gold & platinum. If you tend to wear a lot of silver, it blends in quite well. ... show more

  • Getting Married
Color: 1 Carat Cubic Zirconia Ring Size: 8
After looking for many months ready to spend approximately a thousand dollars for a Titanium wedding band with diamonds for a classy look, and not having any luck finding anything that really appealed to me, I came across this ring on Amazon, and it fits my preference of channel set stones. After hesitating to buy I eventually decided to buy it just to see if I would care at all for this style ring. When I received the ring my first thought was wow looks pretty good with a strong bold appearance, but then I noticed the cz's really were pretty milky in appearance with very little sparkle, especially when comparing it side by side to another multi diamond channel set ring that I have. Long story short, after having a pleasant discussion with Metal Masters and being assured they've rarely had this kind of complaint, I decided for the money spent I'll just not return it and continue looking for another. Then I decided to clean the ring by soaking it in jewelry cleaner, several times, and I couldn't believe the difference. The cz's look great and sparkle with pretty good brilliance. They look like the expensive diamonds that I was looking for. These rings are mass produced and possibly not very well cleaned after the manufacturing and machining. The one I received apparently needed a good deep cleaning of the stones and probably behind the stones to remove residue from coolants and oils used during the manufacturing processes. I've now shown this ring to my fiancée and she loves it. I purchased this ring a half size larger than my ring size because of a recommendation on one of the previous reviews, but I found the ring size to be accurate. So I'm now purchasing this same ring again in my true ring size so that it fits my finger properly, and it will also give me a spare ring. All in all, I am very pleased and hoping the ring holds up for the rest of my life. Out of curiosity and concern of the grade of titanium, I also took this ring to my machine shop and had it hardness tested on our Rockwell tester. It tested at Rockwell 32c which falls into the lower spectrum of Ti-6/4 (Aircraft Grade Titanium). This is reasonably hard and tough and certainly twice as hard as gold jewelry at R18c hardness, but do not think that it cannot be scratched. I have purposely scratched this ring already with a pocket knife just to get an idea of its toughness. I would highly recommend this ring for its appearance, price, and toughness. ... show more

  • Great ring for the price...
Color: 1 Carat Cubic Zirconia Ring Size: 11
We purchased this ring for my husband, to replace his current wedding band. He is a man of few words and is generally happy with most of our purchases (I guess I'm the picky one). We decided to go with a Titanium band, as he restores vintage automobiles, antique furniture, and old homes, in his free time; thus, we needed a band that would withstand the constant abuse my husband would be providing it and titanium appeared to be one of our only options. We went ahead and ordered the ring and it arrived roughly 3 days later; it was well packaged and came with a nice ring box (for storage). He has worn the ring daily for roughly 2 months now (only taking it off to wash dishes, bathe the kids, or crack his knuckles) and has mentioned that he really likes the fact that the stones look genuinely real (he receives compliments on it daily). His biggest complaint is that it has not been able to withstand the constant abuse, as it does have scratches around the underside of the band. It doesn't bother him significantly, but hoped that it would have been a little more durable. Overall, he does recommend this ring to anyone looking for something new! He just suggests removing the ring before partaking in construction or automobile related activities. ... show more

  • Beautiful - Love It
Color: 1 Carat Cubic Zirconia Ring Size: 9
This looks very similar to my old wedding band from a previous marriage. I loved the ring, and wore it for 25 years or so. But I don't want to bring a bad omen into my next marriage. I found this for $20 and thought what have I to lose? Titanium is 4 times harder than gold and half the weight. Sure CZ is man made, but they are technically perfect diamonds, clear color and no inclusions. They sparkle just the same, and this ring does sparkle and shine. I'm not one that must have precious metal and real deal. I like this better! Should it get damaged, I'll buy another. Looking at it, you'd never know it was so inexpensive. I see Jewelry stores selling Titanium rings for over $300 now, so I guess it is the new "real deal". By the way, my stones are not loose as some others commented. This is a beautiful, solid, sturdy ring that should provide many many years of enjoyment. The ring looks exactly as pictured, so it's not necessary to attach a photo. My Fiance and I both love it. Update: This does scratch. Looking at it with a jewelers loop I can see fine scratches all over. However, they are light, and not deep. They cannot be seen with the naked eye, or at least not very easily. I'm sure they would buff out, but it's really not enough to worry about. The ring still looks beautiful and I never take it off. Over the past couple months I have worked on my car, done a little home remodeling, worked on computers, you name it. I still give the ring 5 stars only because 10 stars is not an option. I still love it! ... show more

  • ORDER A SIZE SMALLER! This company needs to verify the ring sizes to the standards.
Color: 1 Carat Cubic Zirconia Ring Size: 11
Ring is pretty, stones move around a little bit, but they are channel set so that's expected.... however the ring size is a joke. We sized my husbands ring to a size 11, checked it and measured it.... His current wedding ring is also a size 11 and from a Zales Jewelers, I ordered the size 11 from here and it is HUGE! really? how ridiculous. So I wasted time and money to order a ring that doesn't fit, when i ordered him another ring I went with the cheaper version offered on Amazon, it's not the same, the edges aren't beveled like this one is, but it's nice and comparable. If you are going to order please read the reviews and consider ordering at least a size smaller than what it worn. ... show more

  • Clean it up
Color: 1 Carat Cubic Zirconia Ring Size: 8
I almost returned it because it looked like a plastic diamond when it first arrived—no shine, no sparkle at all! But after cleaning it with soap water and brushing it, it came back to life with all the shine and sparkle it should have had. Nice ring!
