  • God bless Merrell foot wear!!!!
Color: Black Size: 10.5
I bought my original pair of Merrell Moab 2 in 2012 when I was doing overseas work and i still wear them today (replaced the shoelaces with 550 cord about 2 years ago). I've gotten back into LE work and have blown thrown 2 pairs of 5.11 boots and 1 pair of underarmour boots in 2 years. When I found these Merrell Moab "tactical" boots I couldn't contain my enthusiasm. I immediately tried them on and they fit perfect (10.5 size). They feel just like my original Moab 2, comfortable, supportive, right amount of snug in the instep and ankles. I know these will last me years. Yes, they cost more than other boots (other than Danner) but they will last a long time. ... show more

  • Love at first fit
Color: Black Size: 12
I have been a cop for a few years. Many hours on my feet and many miles walked. I have worn Bates, Under Armor, and multiple different Danner boots. Danners are great. But these Merrells have changed police work for me. After a 12hr shift i didnt want to take my boots off! There was ABSOLUTLY NO break in period. No discomfert. No pain. No problems! I can almost say for sure that i will never buy another brand except for MERRELL! I truly cant explain how amazed i am with these boots. I think they have perfected the patrol boot. Light weight yet thick enough to give amazing anckle support. Water proof Side zippers Easy to clean Flexable Durrable Zero cons. ... show more

  • Mostly (But Not All) Good
Color: Black Size: 11.5
For the most part, I like these boots enough to keep them and wear them. Here's what I like: They are lightweight, much lighter than my leather work boots. They breathe, so my feet are cooler in hot weather. I have trouble with my ankles, and these boots provide enough support that I can wear them all day. They look good. Here's what I don't like: They are frustratingly difficult to put on. Even with the zipper on the side, they don't open up far enough, and I really have to struggle to get them on. It's a battle every time. Plus, the top pairs of eyelets for the laces are holes rather than hooks, so when I open the boots enough to get them on and the laces come out, I have to fish them through the holes to re-lace them. The hooks on my leather boots are much easier. Finally, the sole is too thin to protect my feet when I'm shoveling. Thicker soles would probably increase the weight of the boots, but it would make it easier to work in them. Merrell makes such great footwear. I hope that the next time they design boots they address these problems. ... show more

  • very comfortable boots.
Color: Black Size: 10.5
most comfortable boots I have ever owned. Hard to put on , have had them about 2 months and wore them in a wet sloppy snow and my feet were quickly soaked. Not very waterproof.

  • mildly reserved WOW
Color: Black Size: 11.5 Wide
As a rule I am very particular about my footwear quality... but I have to say that these boots are the best thing I have had on my feet since I got my first set of boondockers in the Navy. Perfect fit out of the box, minus fitting the shock soles I ordered... that's a whole other chore. right length laces, solid arch support. I have already mentioned these to my veteran and active duty buddies. I don't often like a product enough to do that. The only real challeng with the boots was fitting the shock insoles I ordered, to make certain they had a flawless fit. [Properly fitting/sizing replacement insoles] take the insole and trim by scoring the cut line ONE size larger than the shoe/boot itself (to account for shrinkage). dont worry if the size is a solid number or a half measure, the rule is the same ( 11 or 11.5, you still trim the insole to size 12). Remember to trim ABOVE the size line and not on it. then one at a time (without removing the factory insole), carefully insert the replacement insole and adjust it until it aligns with the factory insole. slip your foot into the shoe/boot and then stand with the foot flat on the ground and allow your full weight to press onto the insole until it stops sinking and resists your weight. This will "form mold" the replacement to the shape of the factory insole and shoe/boot. This is extremely important if you use memory foam insoles. Repeat with the other shoe/boot. Then carefully remove both insoles and place the new insole back in the shoe/boot, making sure the heel well and the upper ridges are perfectly smooth. then from the mid arch, take your fingers and gently press the insole forward across the width of the shoe/boot until it solidly meets the toe well and the edges. its an extra 10-15 minutes of effort, but you get a much better and longer lasting fit. ... show more
