I have wide feet and have a hard time finding shoes that don't feel cramped in the toe area, even with wide widths. It's not because my feet are super wide, I just think quality control is poor and also we all have unique feet. My feet also get hot in a lot of shoes, which I find uncomfortable. I wear these inside with socks. I've never used barefoot shoes before, so I was skeptical. While the toebox material does touch the top of my toes, it doesn't bother me because it's flexible and breathable. Arch support is good--feels like normal shoes. They're a bit tight getting on, because the opening is restricted. I bet if I didn't wear socks, they would be perfect. I normally wear 12 Wide, and these fit with socks on. 12 1/2 might be better. If you don't want to wear socks, you should find your normal size to fit well.

i like them for feeling very quality and the way it made me walk. they took some breaking in but i go used to them quickly. unfortunately the rubber that wraps up around the toe of the shoe started peeling away after less than a week of wearing them, never kicked anything or slipped to cause it, just split :/ other than that they are pretty great shoes :)

I've owned multiple pairs of every version trail gloves since the second version and have generally found each new version to be an improvement in one way or another. This version has more arch support and heel protection for regular walking and hiking where heel-striking is the norm, but it doesn't feel heavy or too bulky enough to mess up my natural stride. Lean forward for a jog or run and I find all the forefoot portion of the shoe remains minimalist enough to send me all the below-foot terrain info I crave from a "barefoot" shoe. People claiming version 4 or earlier were superior cleary don't remember how quickly the treads on those wore off on rocky terrain. Versions 5 and 6 have more robust tread designs that don't wear as quickly and somehow don't sacrifice forefoot feel. I don't find the toe box to be cramped at all, but everyone's feet are different. The lacing structure of these shoes does allow me to increase tightness around my mid and forefoot as much as I need to, and I like em pretty snug.

I'm coming off of Merrell All Out Charge, a perfect trail runner, therefore discontinued of course! It was the only shoe that was a perfect fit for me. Thought I'd try the Trail Glove 6. If you have long, narrow feet, this is the one for you. Unfortunately I do not. Takes me 10 minutes to get them comfortably laced. For something intended for use on a trail, these are far too lightly constructed. I can't see these lasting very long and they do not inspire confidence over rugged terrain - may be ok for a clear, well maintained urban trail through a public park but don't go off-roading with these in any kind of debris strewn uneven terrain. The only plus for me is that they contain an elastic sleeve like the All Out Charge keeping the shoe snug against your feet. I'm keeping them in reserve until I've completely worn out my last pair of All Out Charge.

Just received them today. I bought (and usually wear) a 14. They're the right size. Little disappointed though because the right shoe has a pressure point with some discomfort on the inside-side of the ball of my foot. I'm hoping it will go away with wear and not cause blisters down the road. I took a picture that shows the inner lining bunching up in that area. Left shoe has no issue... bummer because this was the last pair available right now so if you're looking for a 14, I'm sorry. Otherwise I think they look and feel lovely. To nitpick, the laces could have been slightly longer to allow for double-knotting. I've never seen Merrell make a size 14. 'bout time!!
