I'm glad I picked these up while they were still a few available left in the Brindle color. They look great, fit well, and have amazing ankle support! I wish Merrell still produced tactical boots in this color!

These are very comfortable, perfect amount of arch support, and so far very durable. The soles are fairly strong and make hiking over rocks and uneven terrain less tiring. The interesting thing is the same hiking boots in my local Cabela's seem to have much more aggressive arches. The ones I got from Amazon seem much better. ... show more

I camped out for a rainy week end and my feet stayed warm and dry. Very comfortable and have great treads. I wear adidas and vans hiking boots and these boots are my go to. I keep a pair in my trunk for emergencies.

I can tell that these boots are very well constructed. They are very stylish. They are waterproof, and they have Vibram souls, which have superior traction on all types of terrain. They are very comfortable, and I'm sure they will last a long time. I still my first pair of Merrells that I bought more than 10 years ago. One of the best shoes I ever bought. I haven't gotten to hike in these boots yet, but I'm confident they'll work just fine. I have an old pair of Merrell hiking shoes and love them. In the cold, snowy weather we've had this week, they've been great. I had thought it might be hard to break in the ankle part of the boots, however this has not been an issue. Great while they lasted. Fabric split within 1 year with light to moderate use. Seem to be cheaply made but not cheaply priced. This will be my last pair.

Had 3 leather Merrills before, that I rotated and wore them out. Tried, again, many brands, but went with these, again -3. Changed insoles to Dr. Scholls "work" inserts which I find better than REI bought Super...whatevers. Works
