I've owned several pairs of this shoe and really like them. A statement made by the manufacturer may be overreaching to suggest they have excellent traction in slippery conditions. My experience is when walking on smooth wet surfaces, this shoe tread does not stabilize or prevent me from slipping. These are my favorite shoes. They're SO very commfy, hugging my feet just right, not too narrow, not too wide. And the insole CAN NOT BE BEAT. I wear them around the house, but they were so comfy I've begun wearing them everywhere. Maybe the look funny under my dress pants. I DON'T CARE. May feet feel great! I have a heel spur that pains my Achilles tendon. These are the only shoes I have that don't aggravate it. They calm it down. ... show more

This is my third pair of the shoe. I really like Merrell products and the Jungle Moc in particular. This one is a tad too loose on the foot, so I must choose thick socks.Not too good in warm weather. Overall the shoe is ok. I think the quality is less than stellar.
