These boots are amazing. I used to wear Merrell shoes and boots for my landscaping job and for hiking. They always last, they're always comfortable, and they always look good. The same goes for these military boots! The most comfortable boots I've ever worn straight of the box, no break in needed. Since they are mostly suede, they are pretty water resistant. The soles are comfortable, there is a layer of foam between the outsole and the rest of the boot so walking is a breeze. First off, I received the GoreTex version? Brand new starting Thursday. I wore these Thursday 12+ hrs, Friday/Saturday 40+ hrs., and will another 10+ on Sunday. Avg. high 78 to 82 - low 60ish - 55ish degree weekend. Walked on pavement, gravel and grass/sand. I won’t comment on some mild/hot spots on the later end of my days due to myself being hot natured under the sun. Was looking forward to the rain forecasted but never happened to feel them out. They kept my feet content during the cooler temps while outside overnight through to the morning. The only time I ever thought about my feet/boots was when the upper portion distorted during the day to the point when (pictured) I’d notice a difference in the feeling of the top half of the boot. Not discomfort but.. just sagging.. loose-ish and looking weird. Creases are going to continue. I’d lace them up just right at the start of each day but the laces have been naturally loosening with extended periods of use (also pictured). Haven’t determined why 🤷🏻 I have not experienced that before (except with the tongue/top area of the SFB B1). Overall one of the comfiest boots IMO and I’ve tried quite a few (some being popular sellers to see what the hype is about and some I just try while on sale before offering up to the field) over the last couple years. Merrell has never disappointed me regarding support/keeping my feet happy. I did not feel any fatigue (9,400 - 10,000 steps ish a day). My brain would beg to go before my feet would while wearing these and ready to keep going until it was time to go. ... show more

I like these boots so much that Ive bought them twice now. I wear a 12 normally and ordered an 11.5 both times and they fit perfectly. I do lots of hiking, which is originally why I purchased them. But with my job I walk 5-10 miles a day in towns and out in the country and these work fantastic for streets and fields. Super light and comfortable. ... show more

These boots are as comfortable as moccasins with good soles that also support my ankles, plus the heels aren't too wide. I don't do forced marches with a pack, so I can't comment about durability. The boots seem well made. I've had surgery on both feet and they are very sensitive. I am able to wear these shoes comfortably all day. ... show more
