I really love this dress. Perfect for work or spring/summer as it is pretty light and breathable. Can be dressed dow or up a little (probably wouldn't wear it as a wedding guest, but maybe for like a more casual wedding). I wore it with sneakers and it was really cute with it. I am usually a Medium, but based on the reviews, I ordered a Small and it fit well. Honestly, it's kind of the perfect dress for what it is. I wanted to really like this dress. I ordered it in the blue stripe. First off it runs small through the hips. I normally wear an 8 but ordered a large as I didn't want it to hug my hips and stomach. The large showed every lump and bump in my stomach and hips. It is better with a pair of spanks but is still not flattering. There is a seam in the front at the waist and the stripes were not matched at the seam. Therefore, unless you have the ties covering that seam, you will see how crooked it is. I tried tying the ties in the front and more to the side near the pocket. However, the back did not look right since it does not have a seam at the waist. It looked strange in the small of my back. It looks much better when criss crossing the ties in the back and bringing them to the front to tie. However, they are then very short and can just cross once and not tie in a square knot. Amazon suggested going up to an extra large, as I usually take a large. Since I did not want a tight fit for my 5'8", 156 lb frame, their recommendation was just right. It comes to the top of my knees, which again, is what I wanted. At my age of 70, it's nice to have something not too short. The dress would easily be hemmed if too long for other's tastes. I got a compliment the other day from a younger person, so it must be stylish across the ages. I would recommend. Nice to have pockets and the fabric is a heavier weight, not see through. I wore black spanx shorts underneath and it did not show through the black and white stripe. ... show more
