For reference, I’m a medium in normal clothes but I order large online because in my experience all online stuff tends to run small. First off, I was surprised how nice the material felt. I thought it would be that nasty polyester type that doesn’t breathe, but this is nice and and soft and breathable and I don’t think I’d feel unduly hot wearing this in summer. It has the lace outside layer and then the under layer and doesn’t feel too thick. When I wear this I’ll be wearing a slip though. Like a lot of tight dresses, even though I work out, it seems to accentuate any dips or areas that aren’t perfectly trim as opposed to flowing over them. I really love how the bottom looks: the thigh cut out doesn’t look slutty, just tropical and fun and makes the dress interesting. I personally don’t think it’s necessarily true to the color in the picture; the picture makes it look like a vibrant electric blue whereas in person it’s more dull? I wouldn’t describe it as vibrant or electric, maybe just like a royal blue. My least favorite part is the top. I have broader shoulders and my arms tend to be chubbyish so it just didn’t end up looking flattering on me, but I have a hard time with dresses anyway. I’ll probably wear a light jacket or something over it. All in all, I was surprised at the quality and that I liked it so much. ... show more

This is a beautiful dress - not on me, but it is absolutely stunning. The price point is excellent for what you are getting and the quality of it. So, I have to say this is a garment that I recommend. It definitely shows your hip area, as it is a hip hugger, but for me it didn't fit at the waist the same way. So rather than giving me more of an hourglass figure I felt like it accentuated areas that I don't want accentuated. To be fair, I have a bit of a tummy on me, and for reference, I am 5'11". But, while I didn't love the dress on me, my daughter tried it on, (she has that beautiful hourglass shape) and she looked amazing! She is approximately 5'6". On my daughter the dress went to her ankles, where it was a bit shorter on me. The dress is made out with two layers of a stretchy fabric. The stitching is professional and overall appearance of the dress is pretty fancy. This would be a great dress for a formal event or date. Initially I was a little concerned that the slit in the front was going to be too high for the level of modesty that I prefer, but it wasn't an issue at all. The pictures in the product listing photo are misleading in that respect (see the pictures that I uploaded). Overall I found that this is a good dress and a great buy. While it is very bold it is also very feminine and classy. The sizing is also accurate. I mostly recommend this dress. Just use caution... If you have a tummy use Spanx or some kind of tummy trainer while wearing it, and if you lack the hourglass figure (in that you don't have a defined curve from your hips to your waist or that curve is drastic like mine is) find something different. ... show more
