I needed a new bright red tracksuit to wear for getting espresso down at my Italian deli. I exploded an eggplant parmigiana down my last one so it was finally kaput and I ordered this as a replacement. The color and design is vibrant and full track suit vibes as hoped for. The velour is a bit thin and needs some freshening up out of the pack. I'll dock a half star for the outer velour not being like the thicker stuff I've seen for about double the value of this but the inner lining, zipper, and general stitching quality of this is professional. It's much better than costume quality and built like real clothes. I'd say it's more than a half size too small, and noticing the models in the ads are very thin, I sized it up and I'm glad I did because it fits very well for an XL when most of my clothes are an L. The length of the arms and legs seem like they'll be too short for anyone over six feet so taller people be warned you'll want to go at least XXL. If it was double the price, I'd dock a full star for the sizing and thinner outer shell, but at this value point it's too good a deal for a functional velour tracksuit to not give it the full 5 stars.

Usually, I am not that into the two-piece athletic sweatsuit, unless it is of a particular type of material. I am referring to a velvet material, which for some reason works with me. I love the partially retro sort of throwback types that honor the late seventies and early eighties, where it seemed like that style was one of the dominant things seen in pop culture. Luckily, the Ragelion brand has developed a style that includes all of my favorite attributes of the classic two-piece athletic sweatsuits which seem to be really made for casual everyday use. I honestly have never seen anyone working out in a visually fun sweatsuit; however I have seen many people simply walking around town wearing decorative variation of such a classic style. That is how I will be wearing this interesting Ragelion sweatsuit. I will be wearing this in a casual manner around town. This is a slim fitting style, because the coat part is leveled out to my waist perfectly. The pants seem like they are tailored which I know is a funny comparison, however the way they fit is just right, because there is not a bagginess in the knee area. That tighter fit make this more visible in relation to the contours of the body. I love the purple velvet color and the whole strip which is also velvet. The strip still has a visible gloss to it, with it being sandwiched in between two layers of the purple, making it actually a standout feature. Those two colors complement each other, along with the person wearing this in a visually captivating way. I always mention zippers because that right there is a way of telling if the brand goes that extra mile for the customer. I am happy t saw that the Ragelion brand has looped the Olympic track with their overall quality here because the zipper system is good. I had no problem attaching the zipper end into the receiving piece. There was nothing indicative of the zipper system being weakly sew into the coat or having loose track grid pieces. I like how there is a pronounced elastic cuff area, so you know there is wind protection. I just wore this to the store with a light underlayer in very cold morning Ohio temperatures. The thick, yet not over thick velvet material then mixed with the cuffs and leg end sections that hold in the body heat, make this sweatsuit winter compatible. I like how the pockets do not have the zipper system, which was a good idea because it adds to the fashionable element. The pockets in my opinion look cool just being velvet, rather than having a metal zipper system in there. I am happy with this sweatsuit and recommend it.

So, reading the description for this Ragelion 2 Piece Velour Tracksuit, I thought and hoped it would be made more like a real piece of daily wearable clothing, and less like a costume. While I didn't intend to wear it a lot, I was hoping it would be of higher quality and more durably built than it actually is. This product is mostly made for appearance and the tags inside the garment make it clear that it is intended to more of a "novelty" costume, worn for the occasional office party or Halloween. It looks nice enough on the outside, but structurally it is lightly built and thin, without a proper lining. The hems and join stitching are exposed and are actually a bit uncomfortable to the skin, such as along the arms. The sizing is actually pretty good, and I was pleased that even the pants fit me well. I grew up during the 70's and 80's and I wanted something that I could throw on during lazy evenings at home and be comfortable in and have fun with. This tracksuit almost achieves that, at least visually, but as stated, it isn't very well constructed or very comfortable. The main issue is the lack of an actual lining, which would make this tracksuit immensely more comfortable to wear. Without it, it is simply a pretty cheaply made costume. That brings up the price point on this product, which, while not ridiculously overpriced, is still more highly priced than it should be for the lower quality of both material and construction. Generally speaking, I am pretty disappointed with this Ragelion 2 Piece Velour Tracksuit. I can't find anywhere in the product description where it mentions that this is meant to be a costume. One of the interior tags even uses the term "cosplay". I will probably wear it for the very occasional costume party or Halloween gathering, but beyond that it is not something which will see much light of day outside of my closet. At the very least, the product description should be revised to make it clear that the product is meant as a novelty costume, and not in any way a proper piece of athletic or even daily wear clothing. I generously give it 3 of 5 Stars, deducting 2 Stars for it being described as something it definitely isn't.
