  • Best Swiss Watch under 500$!
I must start by saying that I absolutely love this watch! About eight months ago I purchased my first Swiss watch, and after much consideration decided on the Tissot PRS516 (I ordered the one with the blackface and read second hand.(see the comparison photo I posted) It did not have the Powermatic 80 movement) I fell in love with the watch today arrived and wore it every day sense. In November I was working on my car and took off the watch to get into a tight spot. That was the last time I ever saw it. I have felt naked without it and was determined to find a new replacement. My wife decided she was going to purchase me a Watch for my birthday (New Years Eve) and after a lot more research I decided to try a different brand and ordered a Victorinox Alliance with the gray PVD bezel and gray dial. At the same time I also ordered a Hamilton Jazzmaster with the small second hand because I could not decide between the two. When they both arrived they were both indeed nice swiss entry-level watches. I tried to decide on one but neither of the watches seemed to be as nice or high quality as the Tissot I originally had. Needless to say I returned both watches. I had considered purchasing the same PRS516 I had before, and discovered this Powermatic 80. The price difference on Amazon was only $70 and I liked the yellow second hand and accent under the bezel, but mostly the more intricate dial as well as the overall slight design differences. Watch Overview: The watch arrived in two days with prime shipping. I opened the box and took out the watch and immediately fell in love with it. Compared side-by-side with my old PRS 516. There are many small details that show a higher level of Percision, fit, and finish. The detail of the slightly polished edge between the lugs and the side of the stainless steel case look fantastic and helps merge the line between a dress watch and sport watch. The polished lines that run down the brushed stainless steel bracelet also complete this look all the way around the wrist. I love the double deployment clasp, and would almost not buy another watch without one. Some things that I noticed that aren't mentioned in the watches description: the hour markers are raised up above the face of the dial. I have never seen a watch with this feature. The minute and second hand move smoothly under the hour makers and the visual effect is awesome, and can not be captured in photos. The sapphire crystal on the front has a very slight dome to it and really makes the watch feel great to the touch this looks and feels much nicer than the flat crystal on my old PRS516. The bezel is not made of stainless steel, but rather is made of ceramic which is stunning in person. The front of the bezel has almost a brushed blackened stainless steel look, but the sides are polished to almost a black chrome look. The movement is more decorated when looking through then display case back and is clearly Swiss quality at its finest. Overall I can't say a single bad thing about this watch. It looks and feels like a watch that costs 4 times as much as it does. It is my every day watch and I wear it with a suit, polo, or t-shirt and jeans. It does wear heavy, but that's one of the things I really like about it. The weight of the watch just makes it feel like it's made of solid quality materials and no cost has been spared. After the first day you don't even notice the weight. If I could give this watch 6 stars I would. I love it and hope it serves me for years to come!!!! ... show more

  • Cool look, slightly heavy
A bit heavier than my other Tissot or Seiko automatics ... perhaps the case material. Display is slick, with the hands passing below the perimeter markings (vs "above" in nearly all other watches. Very readable. Band, clasp adjusts nicely. Well made.

  • Good looking watch
Very well made watch. A bit heavy as others commented. But appears to be good quality and nicely finished. Case size is just right for me. Another plus is that this automatic watch has plenty of reserve power. I didn’t wear it for 2 days and was happy to see it was still running.

  • Fantastic
I fell in love. Excellent design. Love the yellow circle underneath bezel, and second hand. Only dislike is second hand could be thinner.

  • Excellent accurate watch with a minor CQ issue
This is a very nice watch for the money. It’s been more accurate than +/- 5 seconds per day and has actually been more accurate than my more expensive Certina titanium Powermatic 80 diver. I’ve also showered with it in with no issues although I wouldn’t recommend doing that with a watch without a screw down crown. The lume isn’t very strong but this is a budget watch. My only real criticism is that one of the hour markers isn’t level. The hour markers sit on a raised edge and the second hand sweeps under them, which is a really cool effect. Unfortunately, the 5 o’clock marker is clearly angled upwards so it sticks out like a crooked tooth. Despite that, this is still a great budget watch. ... show more

  • style, class and richness, a beautiful piece of mechanical art
A solid, well made, beauty of a watch. Beautiful dial, yellow second hand whiling about the hours.... The metal bracket is heavy, well made and be substituted with a leather band at a later date. The clasp takes getting used to and the negative review are unfounded. Those can get a casio.... It is a lifelong treasure, a timeless gift, at, dare I say, a value price. ... show more

  • Gorgeous timepiece
I’ve never written an Amazon review before, but will for this watch. Opening it, even more gorgeous than the pictures. Very happy with the purchase. Tissot quality and craftsmanship is always excellent. Super great value for the money in this watch with the automatic movement too. It’s hard to change to any of my other watches throughout the week now! ... show more

  • Great watch. Great Price
This is a great watch and a great value. Beautiful dial, bezel & hands. I like the display back case as well. This watch is pretty heavy, which appeals to me, but may not be desirable to others. I have owned & worn a number of Rolexes over the last 4 decades, and I think this watch is a beautiful compliment to watches that are 20 to 30 times the price. The bracelet is attractive and solid. You won't be disappointed with this piece, it is simply a great value and a beautiful timepiece. ... show more
