This tie is a really beautiful and elegant jewel tone. For the price, it's a great value - but realize that it does look a bit shiny and is equivalent to the accessories you'll get with rented tuxes or wedding attire. For me, the color wins and it's worth it.

My partner is a harpist, who wears a black suit when he plays. His harp is gold, and I thought this gold tie and pocket square would compliment the harp. I was right; he looks very dashing in his black suit, white shirt and gold tie. In terms of quality, both the tie and pocket square are fine--good stitching and no loose threads. That being said, this is not a high end item (and I wouldn't expect that for the price). You can spend hundreds of dollars on a tie (something that I personally find outrageous) and get something that is sumptuous upon inspection, but from a distance of five feet, this tie and pocket square give more expensive versions a run for the money. ... show more
