I bought to wear around the house in socks, this shoe would be perfect for that or wearing out in public. As far as a legit 'boat shoe' idk about that. The shoes came in a plastic bag, they have a worn faded look to them pretty much true to the pics provided. They are very comfortable I was really taken back by just how comfy they are! Now for the sizing, geeez the whining I read around this in other reviews sheeew - speaking to comparison of Nike tennis shoes I am an exact 11.5 mens (US) normal width, I purchased a 11.5 and they fit great BUT there are a few things to note: 1 - the 'toe box' is a little narrower than that of the Nike comparison meaning the inner shoe big toe will touch the toe box. 2 - there is NO ankle support as the fabric is canvas, so you should expect almost a slipper style feel, that being said you could easily not put the shoes on correctly and the ankle will fold flat. If you have a close issue with needing a wide shoe this is NOT for you. These are Moccasins they fit like.. well.. moccasins. I'd recommend them for sure!

Buying shoes is an exercise in patience. Different styles must be purchased in different sizes for the same foot. I normally purchase slip on shoes a half size smaller than my regular shoe size, but in this case I, for some reason I can't explain, purchased my normal 11.5 size. Lo and behold they fit perfectly. These are a nice casual shoe. I haven't worn them at length so I'm not yet sure how they would feel after wearing them an extended period, but for the time I have worn them they have fit just fine. Not to tight and not to loose. No indication of potential callus' or blisters. And they look nice to boot. I'll use these just as a casual shoe for visiting friends or family. I have few friends and little family so I expect these shoes to last a very long time. These shoes have met my expectations and needs perfectly and I would have no problem purchasing them again.

Wanted to get a pair of shoes that I could kick around on a coast to coast flight and at the beach to where I was headed. The fit was great and the materials for the money was better than expected. I really like these and would recommend them to anyone looking for real value. One last thing. These also have a removable insert that allows for a replacement if needed or for possibly for those wearing orthodics.

For boat shoes, these things do not handle getting wet too well. Insole separating only one day after getting wet, and i have only worn them a handful of times. Non skid was accurate though, able to navigate around slick areas confidently.

For the price, not sure you could do better. I have very high instep, 10.5 EE and I was concerned that I might have troigh with fit due to that, but no, slipped on perfectly. No binding, no struggle. Upper Material is good, but sole is soft, so expect to wear out quikly. But I hope brand and style still availabe when that happens. If fact thinking I might order another pair right now. If you. Are looking for support. Dont buy these. Not much more than a cheap pair of slippers there, but exactly as I expected ( except possibly better soles). I would say perfect beach shoe, but not for long walks unlesslooking for barefoot experience without sand in toes. I am solid 10.5, and these are slightly big. Ok with socks, but my next order would probably be 10.

I was hoping for some cheap "at home" shoes/slippers. The emphasis on these is the "cheap," which I was expecting. But they don't rise to a good value because of the quality and size. I order 10.5 length, which is my actual size. They are small with a toe box that is less wide than I expected from the pictures. I would order 11 or 11.5 if I ordered them again. The finish is rough on the outside (which I expected), but equally rough on the inside. Not particularly comfortable without socks.

Well I was worried about the bad reviews, but I took a chance and I am quite happy! They are a little wide for me and my feet are not thin!! I have had them two days and love them! I'm pretty sure if you get them wet the the inside pad will separate, but this is just my thought for now! Great for walking around the home or boat! I got an 8.5 but had to return them for a 7.5, normally I wear an 8EEE tennis shoe. My only complaint was Amazon said they were a next day delivery. I ordered them and they came 3 days later not even the two day prime!!! yes I am a prime member!
