I got the maroon set thinking the material was smooth. On my end, I wasn't able to zoom in on the outfit to see it up close, which was fine, because I was planning to press a design on the outfit with vinyl. To my surprise, the outfit has patterns in it, similar to that of thermal underwear. I won't press vinyl on this because I actually like the patterns. It gives it more of a dressy look vs wearing it for jogging, workouts, sports (as mentioned in the description). The shirt is 25% Cotton, 75% Polyester and the short pants is 20% Cotton, 80% Polyester. It is machine washable. The material is soft, comfortable, and breathable. I think the outfit is stylish and great for a fun evening out, like to the movies or fun gathering. I honestly think it is too nice to wear for athletic purposes. I'm going to use these for lounging clothes vs track/exercise. Shirt is a bit tight, but that's to be expected when you wear XL shorts and 2XL shirts.
