This is a cold to extreme cold weather jacket. As others have mentioned, it does come one size larger. For those who plan to use it for extreme cold weather, this allows you to "layer" other clothing under the jacket. For those who do not wish to do this, order one size smaller. Pros: 1. Warm 2. Large for size - Allows layering of clothes 3. Water Resistant 5. Economically Prices Cons: 1. Does not breath well (reason why it's warm - well insulated)(also reason for water resistance) 2. Large for size -buy one size smaller if you do not plan to layer 3. Some loose threads and fur lining - so far hasn't affected integrity of jacket. Overall excellent purchase for the price.

My wife and I are headed from Phoenix to NYC for our first trip to see our son who moved there in April. You may imagine that, living in the desert, we don't have a wealth of cold weather clothes and I was in dire need of a good warm coat. This looked like it would fit the bill and the price was great, so I took the plunge. Wow, am I ever pleasantly surprised!! This is a 'mid-weight' coat (think Mama bear), but once I had it on, there was no doubt it was going to do the job. The lining is very comfortable and undoubtedly warm. The construction is sturdy and the zipper is industrial class. The warmer pockets are roomy, the hood (lined with the same 'fur' as the jacket) is very comfortable and has draw strings to make it snug in the wind. Additionally, the hood zips off if you don't happen to need it at the moment. I can't tell yet if it's wind proof and water resistant as the manufacturer claims, but given that the rest of the description is 'on target', my guess is that it will be. I usually wear a large, but the comments led me to believe I should step down a size which I did. They were right. I ordered a medium and there's still enough room for bundling up inside the coat. Bottom line....a really well made, great, comfortable coat for a great price!

I am 6'2" and the sleeves are TOO long - shocker, I know! Length is perfect. Sleeve cuffs have light weight Velcro to adjust fit. Super cozy lining for the body, arms do not have lining. Holds up well in Denver snow and 10 degree weather with a turtleneck underneath. Probably would need something heavier if colder. The light grey is exactly that... eggshell white with a hint of grey. Looks great with black ski pants.

Took advantage of Black Friday specials. Wanting a warm but light winter coat I chose this one. My old 3-layer coat was worn. Skeptical of the newer tech lightweight coats but the test came today with 23 degrees Fahrenheit outside. Took the dog for casual 1/2 hour walk and was warm with a light sweatshirt under it. No need to be "active" as a ski jacket. The flap stayed in place even without normal velcro. I don't think I would go much colder with this one but will serve well most of the Michigan winter. For size I am always at the edge of small or medium. I measured my chest and arms with a tape measure and ordered the small and it is a good fit. (5'6" 145lbs) Seems to be of good construction.

Great value and really warm for the money. Something I didn't think I would like are the built in hand things. On cold days it's great for keeping hands warm on the steering wheel. Will be great while using snow blower. Only downside are the logos which are really bright and stand out. In English they don't really make sense.
