The chain is 1' long. The wallet itself is a bit over 4.5"x 3.75"x0.5" empty. Both sides of the chain has easily removeable connections. I'm not sure I like the easily removeable connection on the wallet side; I'm wondering if pickpockets can get this connection off. This wallet is a tad bigger than my current wallet, but still easily fits in my back pocket. It has the usual 8 pockets on the open front, 2 pockets just behind the 8 pockets, a 2 pocket insert (front and back for photo ids), inside main divider for bills, an additional 2 pockets on the rear inside wall of the bills section AND a rear exterior pocket. There is so much room for cards! the interior of the wallet is super thin nylon. When you put in all 4 cards, the bottom 2 do overlap a bit so the 2nd from the bottom card maybe a bit difficult to get out. This is made of genuine leather and has the real leather smell. This is not "pleather". I cannot think of a single criticism for this wallet! ... show more

I've seen paper-thin wallets advertised as holding a dozen credit cards. Unbelievable! THIS wallet however, is the real deal! Its solid, has plenty of compartments for cards and other things, and doesn't lose its shape by having many cards, unlike so many other wallets. The one thing to be aware of with this wallet, is that its a little higher than your standard wallet. My previous wallet that I've used for years was just shy of 3.5" high, whereas this one is just shy of 4". Despite the slightly higher height, it still fits very comfortably in my rear pocket. This is my first wallet that has a chain, and I will definitely use that for activities where it would be appropriate, like horseback riding or amusement park rides. Other than that, I simply remove the chain from the wallet and it becomes more of your typical wallet. Well built and has that fresh leather scent. 5 out of 5 for me! ... show more

This wallet is slightly larger than the normal sized wallet it's replacing. But I suspect that it will confirm to the shape of my pocket with continued use. The color is nice and the shell is soft. There is more than enough space for my cards and I like the separation for large and small bills as well as an inner pocket that could be used for coins.
