    • Lifetime Warranty is a lie and unusable

My band broke after only 7 months of use. I squeezed a basketball pole with my ring hand while lowering it with a crank in my other hand and it broke right off. I reached out about the lifetime warranty and they simply respond repeatedly through multiple means of communication that the warranty is "limited." This makes it false advertising to me because they couldn't explain how it was limited or why I was denied. Seems like they are just using this as a way to sell more rings without any actual effort made to replace the ring or even explain why you don't qualify for the warranty. ... show more

This Ring is really beautifully presented and super heavy. It comes in a wood box that is almost as impressive as the ring itself. It feels masculine through and through, while still giving off a bit of shine in the light. Plus, it is a very economical option for a wedding band. I think my SO will absolutely love it, and im so looking forward to the right moment to present it to him. We have been together for almost 13yrs, "engaged" for 7, and he has often said he wishes he had a ring. We have intentions of having a wedding someday but in the meantime this ring will make him very happy. Fingers crossed he says yes to my proposal... LOL I didn't know too much about the material, but after some research I found that the tungsten material is very durable, but can not be resized or engraved; so keep that in mind. Update: My SO loved the ring, and has loved having a "wedding" band to wear. He didn't find the look to be too flashy, and for the first couple of weeks he wore his ring daily. BUT since then he has switched over to wearing the included silicone band almost exclusively, and only wearing the actual ring on special occasions. I didn't think too much of it, as I only wear my engagement ring occasionally; that is, until he mentioned recently that the "nice ring" (as he calls it) looks good but isn't very comfortable. The outer edge of this band, where the texture changes from inner ring to outer, is a bit "rough" in a few spots. He explained these rough spots can rub a bit, where his finger meets his palm, like when he is driving or gripping a tool. That slight bit of discomfort was enough for him to decide to put this ring on the back burner; so def something to keep in the back of your mind in regards to this ring. Also, I noticed that this ring doesn't have any interior markings, just like another reviewer had mentioned. This lack of branding (or anything) is a bit weird IMO, and definitely lends me to believe this item may not be "authentic". This edge defect and lack of branding seem like issues that could be "deal breakers" for some, so I had to share and dock stars. I still think the look and presentation is wonderful, but pointless if the comfort isn't there. ... show more

After 18 years of marriage, a lot of good food, and a bit of arthritic swelling of the finger joints, I was forced to retire my titanium/gold wedding band before I could not longer get it off my finger. Being that I felt that ring was special on that special day, any replacement wouldn't be as sentimental (nor would it need to be high dollar). As I work with my hands a lot, I opted to try out some of the very comfy (and slightly higher priced) silicone rings. I figured they would do a good enough job of marking me off the market yet I wouldn't be upset if I buggered them up. After a couple of years and a couple of rings wearing out, i decided that I wanted to look back into a metallic ring to wear. I didn't want to go back with anything more than $100, though. I started looking into Tungsten Carbide. While not something I would want to wear if I worked at a factory or if i put my hands in engines often, I liked that it was durable and cost effective. When this particular ring popped up to try out, I had to try it out. One of the first things to point out is that this ring by Gentlemen's Bands is a bit spendier than other Tungsten rings. That said, it looks and feels really well executed. I wear a size 9, and the ring fits perfectly. The interior is chamfered smooth and does not dig into my skin. The design is a bit blockier around the outside, so expect to feel a bit of a dig-in around your other fingers if you squeeze them against the ring, but it's not painful. I can't be sure, but it feel like it has a smoother finish on the side opposite of the cut in ring. It feel more comfortable to wear it that way, anyway. The ring itself is lovely. The "chipped and chiseled" angles catch the light even on the dark finish of the band, and the single cut-in dresses the ring up a bit. It certainly has more a modern than "classic" look. Tungsten isn't light like titanium and especially not as light as silicone, but it's been comfortable to wear all day every day. The packaging was really well done. It came in a nice little draw string bag and the ring was housed in a tiny little wooden hat box. On top of that, as Tungsten is material that can be dangerous to wear when working around moving things as it does NOT give, they included a black silicone ring. I thought it was a nice touch if you are worried about keeping your fingers safe or your tungsten ring's finish unmarred. Now, my one downside to this ring (and probably why they included the silicone ring), the black is not super durable. The tungsten is nearly diamond hard, but the finish on the ring is not. After a single trip to the gym, the bars have put a nick or two in the black finish. It's really not a big deal as 1.) I bought this ring to wear and my original wedding band is all kinds of scarred up. and 2.) This isn't an heirloom of a ring. If it gets beat up, that just shows the ups and downs of life. I only point it out lest someone scruff their ring and be disappointed. Honestly, if they ring were just straight tungsten, you'd probably never see the scuffs. In short, if you are looking for an affordable and well made wedding band that won't break the bank, the Gentlmens Band is a good purchase. ... show more

Yeah, strip of white gold. It's more like a strip of PLATED white gold, plus they cannot and do not even tell you what karat of gold this is. I had it tested by my local gold pawn guy, who's always been fantastic, and I watched as he tested it (which was difficult, as it's not even a 'strip' it's more of a weird ditch in the ring, or a channel. Watched as everything he tested floated off and dissolved in the acid. For a hundred bucks, you can do WAY better than this. This is just a regular tungsten carbide band. Yes it IS nice and solid, but there is little to no gold. Again, you'll find that you cannot even find any indicator of any karat or anything of the sort. ... show more
