These shoes were bought to replace a much loved and well worn pair of Timberland shoes that I guess were 12 or 13 years old. I couldn't get an exact replacement so hit on these. They arrived with damaged packaging (a large puncture hole in the box) but the shoes were undamaged. They look very smart - pretty much like the pictures on Amazon. The fit is a little tight - I usually take a US 12 or 12.5 - I ordered at size 13 and they are ok but I would say more like a size US12 - certainly not as large as a US13 should be but I'm happy with the size choice. My only concern is that the back of the shoe is not reinforced so will easily get broken down when putting on. Time will tell if this effects the life of the shoe

The fit was good. They look nice and are comfortable to wear. The only thing, and time will tell, how long will they last. I have other shoes made in China that fell apart within a short time.
