Uppers are really nice. Fits high arch foot well. The insoles are junk. Not high enough at the heel to avoid chaffing the tendon. I will be spending more money to replace the insoles.

My husband slipped his feet into these and smiled. He said he truly loves how they feel and that they are very comfortable. I hesitated when I ordered them, but I am glad I did. I don't think they are genuine leather, but I would say they are the closest thing to leather, and a nice quality man-made material overall. Perfect casual shoes to walk around the house.

First impression out of the box - I was pleased with the look, but then - the smell was wrong. I bought based on representation that these are "genuine leather" uppers, but the smell was more than concerning. My initial presumption was that they smell like "pleather" -- in other words - NOT leather at all. Fakes. Plastic. The look and outer feel are incredibly realistic though. More realistic than any pleather I've seen before. At this point, I've come to the presumption that the smell is some weird leather processing chemical. So - for the rest of it - I like the look - not "normal" has a fun ("exotic ...ish") flare. I wouldn't wear these in a purely formal / business environment. But great to take the ordinary suit or slacks in another direction. The fit and feel are good. I used the European size (the one in the 40s) to determine the correct fit.

The shoes were all squished up inside a plastic bag. Fortunately they regained their shape after I wore them for a while. I love them. They are comfortable, fit perfectly, and I hope the last a while. The color is exactly as shown on the product description. I went ahead and ordered the black ones too. I will update my review in a few months to report on their wear patterns. I gave them 4 stars because of the careless packaging; would have been a 5 otherwise.
